Why is it dumb? I mean, it might have been a bad read/decision. But I don't that he's dumb for stealing just because it was the first pitch.

They got the Springer one right but missed the Gattis one

50% isn't very good for replay

I can't even begin to understand baseball replay.
Is the call on the field important or irrelevant to the replay ruling?

More upset about stealing with no one out. Were in an advantageous situation.

Important. Need conclusive evidence to overturn.

Bases could be loaded, with 0 outs.

Important, but common sense says it should be 100% irrelevant.

If you can get to 2nd with no one out, then you don't need a hit to score. You just get a groundout and then a groundout or sac fly or whatever.

That's what I assumed but I've seen a number or replays where it seems like they couldn't possibly have conclusive evidence and still overturn it.

Keep it simple, call it as they see it on the replay.

That was a frustrating inning. No problem with Springer trying to take that base on the first pitch. He takes that base, you get him over and get him in without a hit and win the game.

    Gattis was safe.
