Yeah... just hope the physicals play out. Both him and Elias had the exact same giddy responses last year... and then nothing happened... then Rosenthal started postulating. At least we know what happens if signings are NOT introduced during this next homestand. Again, I highly doubt there's a money issue at all.... they've known what the "numbers" were going to be for some time now.
Bregman has agreed to a deal. Woooo here we go.

Alex Bregman has landed in Houston. So we will be expecting Daz by the end of the day? The Astros farm system just got more stacked. Astros need to start spending some money this upcoming offseason. Team will contend for a long time.
No. They will get Bregman's signature and physical first. Won't be too much longer though. I think Friday would be a better expectation.
What a coup if/when they get Daz signed. Funny how things worked out after the Aiken situation. Went from being really bad draft last year to maybe one of the best drafts in team history (potentially)...all because of Aiken's small UCL. Thanks, Brady.
Probably need to thank his advisor even more. Aiken should have taken the $5 million last second deal.
I'd rather have a healthy Aiken & Nix than having Bregman & Cameron. I'd also rather have Rodon & whoever. We might have gone after Matuella without #2, which would have been nice. Astros made the best out of a bad situation. I'm just not going to happy that Aiken signing didn't work out.
There is no such thing as a healthy Aiken. It wasn't a freak accident that he tore it after the dilemma. Apparently the Astros had already seen the tear. I understand that TJ surgery isn't what it was much like the ACL in football, but it is still a major injury and not all guys come back to normal levels.

Daz will definitely not, as he's coming from HS. He'll likely go to GCL or Greeneville. Bregman will mostly likely go to Tri-City, but could go to Quad Cities. Definitely could be there before end of season. Only guy I can remember Luhnow immediately placing in full-season ball was Fontana.
Wow, that is great news. It will be good to see how much he signed his contract. Now we have to see what Daz will agree to. In regards to who was better Bergman and Daz or Aiken and Nix. It likely was Aiken the phenom before the draft and Nix. But hearing about the UCL, and I vastly prefer Bergman and Daz.... Aiken was so polished, he looked like a perenial Cy Young candidate. Since Aiken may or may not live up to expectations, after such a serious injury and the anatomy of having such a small UCL. But Bergman and Daz seem like quite a haul....
