Interesting for Butler and da Bulls. Lakes? His own team...after Kobe retires (in 2-3-4 more years?)?
This is the way that the Houston Rockets operate. I have no problem with that. I hope they will come out with a couple of good players on draft day.
Not sure if you read up on Bima's latest on the Butler contract situation but all Chicago has to do is just offer him a max qualifying offer, and no other team would be able to structure a short term offer for him less than 3 years. So its not like he really can dictate the short term contract he wants like his camp has been pining for publicly. The question really is, why wouldn't Chicago do this? Are they dumb enough to think he's not a max player? I just don't think they can be that stupid to let him go create the contract length that he wants.
One of the stupidest things I've ever heard. Are the Mavs the team of Fort Worth? Arlington? Are the Rockets the team of Katy? The Woodlands? Get real. Tomball is part of the Houston NBA market.
Jimmy is Tomball all the way. Houston might as well be a foreign country to him.

@NazrMohammed << Naz I'm from TOMBALL!!! Yeah, Jimmy Butler is stupid as hell for saying that. He mentioned this to Chris Broussard the last game he played in Houston. I'm from Spring! #Spring Pride! I'm not from Houston. Even though I can drive less than 15 minutes down a major freeway and be located in an area identified by the united states postal service as "HOUSTON, TEXAS"
Maybe you should start reading other news besides staying in your own little delusional "insider" world.
So apparently some people on this board just come on to this thread and then post the information on the Mavs forums lol.
Cyber is the most quoted poster I have ever seen. If you were to go to almost any team's forums or subreddit, you will see people discussing what Cyber has to say. He's a psuedo celebrity.
I've known all about the Tomball/Houston thing since he started it years ago when he was at Marquette. It's stupid. And it doesn't equate to the Rockets not being the NBA franchise in Tomball. The Rockets are the NBA franchise in Tomball. And it would be nice if he wanted to come home to Tomball and run down 249 into Houston and play for our home team. There's plenty of posters here who live in Tomball and the Rockets are their team. The coffee is fresh in the break room. Go get you a cup.
