That was pretty gruesome, but at least the little Gazelle never had any hope of getting away. This zebra thought it had gotten away, but nah nah nah

Woodpeckers crazy. Had one peck my window every morning all summer long when I was a teenager. Crazy.

I was wondering why the woodpecker would do this and maybe it's because the brains taste like worms?

How did this thread go from "look at the WP eat the dove's brains while the dove is still alive! Gross!" to "Herbivores v Carnivores?"

Seriously though, why would the woodpecker completely disregard what it's accustomed to, and go for bird brains? Did the dove skull mimic the hard consistency of tree bark or something?

Smashed a woodpecker with a baseball bat after it wouldn't quiet down. Every morning it would make noise and wake me up. I tried everything to make it stop until one weekday morning it still wouldn't stop. Opened the side window with my then "girlfriend" still in bed and swung blindly at the tree and smashed the woodpecker. I slept well from then on... My "girlfriend" was horrified but she got over it.

Time for this thread to make another frame-shift

What exactly do you mean by "girlfriend"

not at all. that's like saying it works only if you are asian because im a bit bigger down there than a tampon. full of stereotypes and misjudgments.

but if the analogy works for you that's cool.

Maybe, just maybe people aren't as ignorant as you think they are? People can make informed decisions. Everyone that eats meat (or the vast majority at least) know what conditions in those slaughterhouses are. You know why we know? Because PETA and other groups of that sort have already raised that awareness. Likewise, you think smokers and people that eat McDonalds everyday are doing it because they don't know the consequences? They know the consequences.

Now, if you presented a short-term reward vs. long-term consequence argument I would whole-heartedly agree with you because that is backed by a lot of data, but the whole ignorant, dumb, savage, uncultured American diatribe has become a pretentious circlejerk at this point.

I can't believe you hit it, Woodpeckers must be dumbasses then if they are that unaware of their surroundings, I'm sure you would never catch another bird with a bat
