The only thing Obama has to be blamed for is a lack of leadership. These racial events that have been sensationalized and fanned into an inferno by the media are tearing us apart. Obama has done nothing to unite this country. IMO he has in many way contributed to the problem but at the very least he has done nothing to stop it. I think the division in our country serves him well to be honest and he knows it.
I know no such thing. What I do know is you are almost certainly the most outrageous liar on this board. And are you now suggesting that Rand Paul is a KKK supporting white supremacist?
Got it. We must cease discussion of racism against African Americans and only discuss the oppression that has fallen upon the White Christian American male otherwise we might upset white supremacists to commit violence.
Why is it not surprising that li'l t and Roof share the same perspective. Did you know that LBJ and MLK were also responsible "radicalizing" James Earl Ray.
Very wrong. Before the facts were out, Obama made the now famous quote "if I had a son, he would look like Trayvon". Obama had no business fanning racial flames before we even knew what took place. It was an incredibly amateurish move....but likely a very calculated move as Obama needed the black vote to come out in Florida during the election. The media completely bungled the Trayvon Martin incident, which served to rouse the rabble and directly led to violence. The media was showing the "Hollister" Trayvon pics from his youth and a very one-sided view of what happened. When all the facts came out, the jury did not convict Zimmerman. So all that violence for nothing. People here need to think critically and put the pieces together. Obama and the media's irresponsible actions in the Trayvon incident directly impacted this Charleston shooter.
Making stuff up and twisting facts to fit your narrative is not "thinking critically and putting the pieces together". You need to seriously reassess your logic and thought process before telling others to think critically.
The dude looked up Trayvon Martin on a wiki page. C'mon now, he was only going to look at it one way. This dude was a racist. Plain and simple. No one else to blam, especially not Obama. It's funny how a black person ALWAYS gets blamed. Whether they are the person being assaulted by the police or the people calling foul on such actions. It's always black people's fault. In this case it's now Obama's fault. Come on. This guy was racist, the Trayvon Martin thing that he looked up on a wiki wasn't something that motivated him doing this. The same guy with the Rhodesia flag? Come on...he was just using Trayvon Martin to once again blame black people. Something racist tend to do a lot of. Even while they apparently kill those they are racist against. "It's your fault. You rape our women and are taking over."
Michael Berry this morning on 740: The left is once again stifling speech by removing the Confederate Flag. But Michael, there was that one picture! Yeah, he also had a picture with the Rhodesian flag. What's next, will the left try to wipe Rhodesia off the map?
Is "hustler" the word we're using now? Was "thug" getting too obvious? Somebody please catch me up on the nomenclature.
They are different words with different meanings that are useful for different purposes and on different occasions. They are not interchangeable, but both words are alive and well, and available to be used without the need for approval from any sort of leftist word screener. LOL.
This comment has been approved for submission by Obama's Linguistic Army. Thank you for contributing to an open dialogue and remember: sticks and stones may break your bones, but words can really hurt you.
I swear it's real. I channel surfed and ended up on 740 while John Lopez was interviewing an old Oilers player. He also said the confederate flag issue at the capitol should be left to the free market.
The shooter said the Trayvon incident "woke him up". He said he kept hearing and seeing him name. I wonder where he kept hearing and seeing his name? The answer is the media. And the media reported heavily on Obama's race baiting "if I had a son he'd look like Trayvon" story. Look, I understand this is a sensitive topic, but when the shooter says he was "woken up" by the Trayvon incident, you have to dig into that. And we all remember the irresponsible media (and Presidential) behavior that led to senseless violence and racial tensions. All over misrepresentations in the media before all the facts came out.
This is sickening texx. If you want to use his rationale, fine. His rationale was that he heard all this stuff about Trayvon, looked him up and then detoured into websites that detailed the epidemic of black on white crime. He got into white supremacy groups who argued that the white race is under attack by the black race. He didn't blame the Trayvon coverage or the race baiting, he simply said that was what started him researching race issues. Do you endorse his belief that the white race is a pure race that is being victimized by the violence and rape that is ingrained in the black man? Of course not. Both sides playing political charades on this incident are disgusting.
Don't underestimate all the negative impacts of the media's and the president's irresponsible handling of all these racial incidents. Remember we also lost two NYPD policemen due to a man who was enraged over the Mike Brown incident, which again included the media fanning racial flames over lies spread by "witnesses". The policeman there was vindicated after all the facts came out.
