Don't you mean "another" World Series?

And chances are he will never be as good as he was in the last World Series he won.

Maybe he's "been there, done that".

Probably has more to do with the fact he sucks at MMP.

I don't think it's that crazy of a thought. I doubt Hamels has a negative perception of the Phils and might want to help them out. He's not in a hurry to leave his home of the past almost 10 years and if he agrees to go, he might want to help them get the best deal possible.

Good. He doesn't want to be here, then he won't be here. Move on the the next best/better option. Discussion over.

Still never heard of it before... as Major said, why would he want his "new" team to be worse?

If he really wanted to help the Phillies out, he'd accept a trade that gave them the best return... and chances are, nobody is going to beat an offer of prospects that the Astros 'could' offer. But again, I've never seen a no-trade clause invoked in order to help the receiving team out more.

I agree he's not in a hurry to leave his home... and doesn't have to do jack squat if he doesn't want to. That's a right he's "earned" thus far by being excellent at what he does.

Eh, Bosh was the third fiddle and possibly still had something to prove.

Hamels had one of the best post-seasons ever in 2008.

Maybe he doesn't like Houston, or maybe doesn't like the weather, or maybe doesn't like a hitter friendly park.

Be careful... I made a post about how some people dislike Houston (esp. in the summer), and it was met with much disagreement.

He's a San Diego kid... even though Houston provides better "winter" weather than Philly, its not comparable to what he knows as "good" weather.

So he'd prefer to go to the Rangers who have awful fans, no history, and play in a **** city. Oh ok. Go for it.

Doesn't make sense that he'd hate Houston weather enough to make that the reason he refuses to play here, but he'd be perfectly fine with the Dallas weather.

    Not exactly a deal-breaker of a difference.

Maybe he's BFF's with Ryan Vogelsong. Or Godfather of Brady Aiken.

Especially since he'd get to pitch indoors in one and outdoors in the other.
