I'd gladly lower a bolt into a cow's brain if that was the only way I could get beef. I ain't afraid to kill for my meat. I am a carnivore.

This video was a bit disturbing, though, mainly because the woodpecker was eating the thing's brain while it was still alive.

Not to get too off topic, but vegans drive me a little nuts. Only populations living in abundance can choose to be vegan. The earth's population would starve if everyone were vegan.

 

im not vegan. ive been vegetarian on and off for a year. i never insinuated that i was superior. i just said "stay ignorant" and i mean that. if someone can not take a few hours to research what goes on in a mass produced meat factory (they are wonderful and delightful places)

People are disturbed because it was obvious that the dove chicks were suffering unnecessarily.

Also, whether you admit it or not, we have been "trained" to be sympathetic towards the stereotypical dove more than other animals because of their symbolism.

But of course, doves are no more special to the woodpecker than any other bird.

Side note, did you guys know that this is a dove as well?
