Me? Until June 30th 11:59 PM CST. He's had plenty of time to assess and evaluate the situation especially with the Rockets offering him a contract (if true).
Even with the news Cyber posted about Houston getting annoyed at Llull and his indecisiveness I still think he comes over. It's a huge and risky career move for him I can understand his debate
Yep same thoughts I had during season. LMA fits perfectly in SA and timmy is returning at vet minimum Dallas got cap for Jordan and he will have a field day in Dallas. The SW division will get stronger . Oh yea , love to LA is destiny. College, Home, Girlfriend, Family all there along with max contract to play for his childhood fav team
I don't think DeAndre Jordan leaves the Clippers. BUT, if he does, and goes to the Mavs, I don't think that will make the Mavs appreciably better. He is younger than TC, but won't have Chris Paul to throw lobs for him. Mavs D probably gets better but still what about the guards? the bench? The Clippers would be in free-fall. They are in cap hell and can't make up DAJ's loss. This move would actually HELP the Rockets as it takes the Clippers out of contention status. (and at the same time does not put the Mavs in contention status).
I agree. I think a lot of us were saying this weeks ago. The Mavs would have to pay a lot of money to lure Jordan and they still need to worry about hanging onto Monta who'll demand 8 figures a year. Plus they have to replace Rondo with someone else. If their plan is to pry Bev from the Rockets, Cuban will have to overpay again like he did with Parsons. And speaking of Chandler, will the Mavs throw a lot of money at Aminu as insurance in case that knee doesn't heal(or he gets another injury)? Never mind that Dirk will be 37 next season and can't carry that team anymore. Meanwhile, the Clips would be a mess without Jordan. Sure, Dallas will probably do a sign-and-trade with Tyson, but he's a major downgrade at center. Unless LA picks up another quality player from the Mavs in that deal, they'll be taking a step back next season. As for the LMA rumors, first of all, I still don't get the motivation for him going to the Mavs(geography aside). He plays the same position as Dirk. Dallas has arguably an inferior team to the Blazers. And he'll make less money. Again, aside from being back in Texas, it makes no sense. The Spurs at least I can buy. He would be taking less money to go there(lack of state income tax notwithstanding). But he could play at PF alongside Splitter(not sure where that leaves Duncan), and they've got Kawhi and Parker. That team looks much closer to a title than either Dallas or Portland.
Regarding Llull and wishy washiness - I keep hearing that they're having really good talks with his agent.
Gee Whiz. Thad shooting 60-65% from free throw land? What is our love for crappy free throw shooters.
I find it funny that Llull had dinner with Prigs to get an idea of how the Rockets are. I am sure Prigs put in a good word. He seemed to enjoy his time with the Rockets. He got minutes from McHale. Maybe Morey traded for Prigs to be the new Chandler Parsons recruiter specialist!
Don't insult the great one like that. Parsons is a better recruiter than saban, meyer, and jimmy johnson combined.
Made the WCF, surpassed expectations. All well and good for the 2014-15 season. Everyone starts fresh again though next season. Spurs won the championship & were eliminated in the first round this year. Mavs & Jordan - fine signing. A younger (but more expensive) Chandler. Spurs & Aldridge - Those damn Spurs do not age and do not go away!
The Lakers news is pretty intriguing to me. They're a team that I love to hate, but I honestly believe the NBA is more entertaining when they're relevant. Plus I miss their white uni's on Sunday afternoon nationally televised games. Dear God, I think I may be a closet Lakers fan... Shutter
