Simple. If Young picks up his option, he's an expiring contract and a rotation player. We can likely acquire him for Kostas/Pablo/Dorsey since the Nyets want to cut salary. We get to move out trash salary in Dorsey and Pablo's guarantee and pick up roster spots along with a quality player.
Meh DJ moving to Dallas just weakens the Clippers and Dirk can't carry that team anymore. Parsons is NOT a max worthy player and is a cap albatross. For the Lakers to win again their younguns will need to dominate, Love and Kobes corpse won't get a payoff spot in the west. As for the Spurs I guess we will see another year older though Leonard and LMA would be a solid core.

If nothing else that neutralizes Dwight. Love to Lakers also makes too much sense. If they snatch a nice player to complement him the Lakers will have officially bounced back up even if they have to put up with Kobe until he breaks down again. Yeap, all around bad news for the West and especially for the Rockets, with the SW division getting stronger than it already is with all the teams playoff caliber as is.
I like where the rumors are heading because it makes sense for all three players. It's also one more domino falling for the eventual Love/Westbrook reunion with Durant eventually leaving OKC to team up with Harden.
