So did Morey outwit us all again and trade for Pablo because he knew that it would help bring Llull over?

How soon after he signs does he get traded? I give it one and a half seasons. They better make sure they draft a point guard and not put all their hopes on Sergio, if they get Sergio I still say they try and keep Bev

Come on man there are several guards we have the assets to acquire, who fill most of the requirements we need and have NBA experience.

Or we could not take the insane punt that we are on Llull and trade for Lawson and sign D.J. Augustin. I'm not liking the idea of trusting an unproven player to move the needle and be paying him $24 million to do so. It's just too big of a risk.

i think you need you net out the 5.6 buyout from that making it roughly 3 years/$18 mil.

How can you do that? The maximum amount that an NBA team can pay for a overseas buyout is 500,000 dollars. The rest has to be paid, by the player. The Rockets can only pay him the full MLE which is 5.4 M per year, unless they give up Ariza to create cap room. That would be highly improbable IMO.

I would put those figures in quarantine. MLE money fits very well with previous rumours of 17/3...

MARCA is not the most legit source. We'll see.

Up until a week ago, I had similar thoughts as well. Starting to warm up to Llull, but he does have a learning curve Lawson does not have. The one good thing about getting Llull is that we might not have to surrender any assets to get him, so that is a plus.

Relax. One never knows from when an NBAer changes teams. See: Rondo, Rajon. See: Barea, J. J. (from Mavs to Minni, and back). See: Love, Kevin.

Guys perform better or lesser frequently when their surroundings change.

So he has a Euro 5 million buy out? That is steep and roughly 1 year of the MLE.

I think this new offer it would mean to renounce to Corey Brewer. Also to Terry and Josh Smith/Pat Beverley, and of course Prigioni and Papas. But Bima can tell us better....

Thats fair, but really, t jones days in houston are numbered anyway, especially if Scola is coming. K pap is an excellent trade chip and he's not pivotal to our plans moving forward. I'm just kind of disappointed I guess, and I fear others will be too. I don't like this deal at all

Is the max MLE offer for 3 years or can you do 4 years? If the MLE can be done over 4 years then that is about 23-24 million. I don't see Morey renouncing all these players to use cap space to sign Llull.
