    I don't think that is true. I don't think humans tend to apply negative attributes towards people that aren't apart of their "group". I know I certainly don't.

    Yeah I'm aware of that and it sucks. People get judged by their names no matter what the race or gender. There's a reason why my friend Bubba goes by the name of Grant. I try to be conscious of potential bias and not judge based on a name. It's amazing how well the action of recognizing bias works to remove bias. You recognize it, fix it, and move on. I dunno...maybe I'm odd, but that's why that Morgan Freeman point of view made sense to me.

    When something is common then people make assumptions. I wouldn't say this is biased or racist unless they continue to treat you a certain way or deny you for opportunities after becoming familiar with your background.

    Studies show that stereotypes do play out in denying or holding people in certain ways. And the people doing it aren't even aware of it. If you really want to see if you have biases you aren't aware of, take the Harvard tests on bias. They cover sex, homophobia, race, and more.
