plain and simple switch lebron and curry, lebron wins mvp, finals mvps, wins 73+ games, 16-0 in the playoffs.. curry breaks the 3 point record and cavs get knocked out by the bulls..
to add to this, switch lebron and harden, the rockets probably make the trip to the finals this year knocking out currys warriors in the process. love harden and curry is a great player but neither are in the same league as lebron, or kd for that matter. people forgot about kd this year..
I give Curry the nod over Harden because he has better musical Taste, I subtract point from Harden for Drake (-50) Curry (+100) <blockquote class="instagram-media" data-instgrm-captioned data-instgrm-version="4" style=" background:#FFF; border:0; border-radius:3px; box-shadow:0 0 1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.5),0 1px 10px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.15); margin: 1px; max-width:658px; padding:0; width:99.375%; width:-webkit-calc(100% - 2px); width:calc(100% - 2px);"><div style="padding:8px;"> <div style=" background:#F8F8F8; line-height:0; margin-top:40px; padding:50% 0; text-align:center; width:100%;"> <div style=" background:url(data:image/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAACwAAAAsCAMAAAApWqozAAAAGFBMVEUiIiI9PT0eHh4gIB4hIBkcHBwcHBwcHBydr+JQAAAACHRSTlMABA4YHyQsM5jtaMwAAADfSURBVDjL7ZVBEgMhCAQBAf//42xcNbpAqakcM0ftUmFAAIBE81IqBJdS3lS6zs3bIpB9WED3YYXFPmHRfT8sgyrCP1x8uEUxLMzNWElFOYCV6mHWWwMzdPEKHlhLw7NWJqkHc4uIZphavDzA2JPzUDsBZziNae2S6owH8xPmX8G7zzgKEOPUoYHvGz1TBCxMkd3kwNVbU0gKHkx+iZILf77IofhrY1nYFnB/lQPb79drWOyJVa/DAvg9B/rLB4cC+Nqgdz/TvBbBnr6GBReqn/nRmDgaQEej7WhonozjF+Y2I/fZou/qAAAAAElFTkSuQmCC); display:block; height:44px; margin:0 auto -44px; position:relative; top:-22px; width:44px;"></div></div> <p style=" margin:8px 0 0 0; padding:0 4px;"> <a href="https://instagram.com/p/4GJH-muTBP/" style=" color:#000; font-family:Arial,sans-serif; font-size:14px; font-style:normal; font-weight:normal; line-height:17px; text-decoration:none; word-wrap:break-word;" target="_top">Can YOU feel it?! #myman ... You really can't do that because Curry makes half as much as LBJ. When you make the max it's harder to get good players around you; that's just basic math. Tim Duncan has understood this for a while.
curry is still under a previous contract, if he becomes a free agent, next year, how much do you think he will make? this salary thing means nothing when you compare players, curry is not as good as lebron, or even kd, or even CP3 in my mind, there is lot of players in the league that are better than curry, so stop being so biased because of your love for curry or GS team, switch any of the players i mentioned with curry, GS will still win the finals, they are playing injury plagued teams and their team has great balance and chemistry, that's why they win, not because curry is too good to beat
I answered the question. You want to oversimplify something complex to get a black and white answer to a situation that is not black and white. Curry's popularity doesn't depend solely on his skin color - no one is saying that. However what a few have pointed out here is that the color of his skin does influence how people perceive him and when we are talking about the relative popularity of players, perception is everything.
i guess you fail to recognize curry has a pretty solid floater so he has an in between game but you're probably a little to simple minded to see that. A shooter is someone like korver. Curry is obviously way more than that. again your comments are straight homerism. Other people do see the game objectively and don't automatically disregard other players because they don't have houston on their chest. fyi harden does not have a post up game. getting the ball with your back turned towards the basket only to turn and face the defender to go one on one is not posting up. Huge fan of Harden but the previous post was an example of how dumb you sounded.
What's ridiculous here is the OP saying 27 year old Steph Curry is somehow closer to Jordan than Lebron, Kevin Durant and Anthony Davis.
Whats ridiculous here is people fail at reading comprehension. Steph Curry is definitely closer to Jordan than Davis in terms of POPULARITY, which is what's point... And I hate what.
In terms of his skillset, I love watching it. Nice passing, elite handles, elite shooting, plays within a system. It's a lot more fun to watch then Lebron charging into the lane, probably traveling, and throwing up a layup. So in that regard, I see a lot more potential for marketability. But in terms of how great they are, he's not in that tier with Jordan, Kobe, and Lebron so he won't ever reach the peaks those players have reached.
People also hate LeBron because he has an odd combination of strength and ball skills. Usually you get one or the other (like Curry). I've had friends tell me Kobe is better than LeBron because of the simple fact that Kobe had fewer tools at his disposal than LeBron, and yet was still as effective. At the end of the day, it's all noise. I hate Curry. I hate his game, and no amount of logic will make me like him. I hate the adoration he receives, and I don't think I'll ever really like him. The respect he and Harden have for each other is amazing, but I will always be reserved to not liking the guy... even if he didn't wear the ugly ass blue and yellow of GS.
