I remember being a huge fan of Happ when we got him. Never considered him a ace, but i thought he could be a solid number 2. Then he went to crap and we got a ton of prospects back for him. All is well. LOL
I would take Altuve as he only helps if he hits over .320, and i dont see that happening this year, or in the future. He looks more like a .290 hitter
Yea me too. I remember being fired up when we got Happ....then being even more fired up when we got something for him, lol

I got a little laugh out of these last 2 pages. Bickering, a whole lot of it. I for one am taking it as a sign of progress LOL
I get the feeling that if JD was back with the Astros right now…he'd hit 0.227 with an OPS around 0.690. I don't know why.
Sometimes guys need a change of scenery, or maybe a new set of eyes. I hate when people just assume guys will automatically maintain the same career trajectory regardless of situation. Tony Sipp and Collin McHugh were fringe MLB players before they got to Houston. Martinez may have developed here, he may not have. One way or the other I know nobody was complaining when we let him go, nor did a single team offer him an MLB job.
You obviously don't get the joke/sarcasm of me spelling his name with Ks (because of all the strikeouts). I know Carter is not the only Astro who strikes out a ton but when you add the quality of ABs, some spotty fielding at times and low batting average, I just get tired of him not having any competition at that position when there are prospects on the farm who should be given a shot at this point. Oh well...
I'm well aware of your disrespectful sarcasm and do not believe you should be this way, my opinion and I believe that at the moment there are Not any prospects that could replace Carter. He's an improved fielder and an explosive bat. He walks at a high rate and is a good rbi bat. Everyone has the right to not like a player for whatever reason, but I have the right to call you out on being disrespectful.
Are we seeing the start of a 1 month epic fail performance by Carter? Hit a home run next time up, bro…shut me up.
Last reply was before seeing this post. I can post whatever I please in anyway I feel so if you don't like it, I could care less. My opinion of Carter stands.
