Really? Greatest in recent memory? I mean its great as a Rockets fan to be a game away from the Conference Finals, but this will only be the 2nd game 7 in the entire playoffs.
guess now he can't write about players and coaches when they are in the final year of their contracts and not renewed
[rquoter]...if all goes as planned, a platform for ESPN cast-off Bill Simmons. While HBO executives are staying mum, multiple sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that the network is in talks for a major multipart deal with the biggest media personality in sports. Though Simmons is said to have several suitors, insiders say conversations at HBO have focused on a TV show — something Simmons is believed to want — along with heavy digital extensions that make the prolific personality tailor-made for the HBO Now era. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/hbos-real-life-game-thrones-802764?utm_source=twitter[/rquoter]

On Simmons and HBO: A very talented guy named @ConnorSchell has his ESPN deal up soon. Simmons and HBO are a match made in heaven. That guy just couldn't wait to go uncensored. HBO has a huge stake in the boxing world. What is the sport that often shares dual sport cross over analysts like Chris Mannix, Jalen Rose etc... boxing. I'm pretty sure I've seen demographic studies as well that show that Boxing and Basketball share the highest cross interest of sports fans as their #1 & #2 interest. HBO already has a stake in football as well with Hard Knocks to draw in the football crowd to an uncensored showing of the sport that draws a ton of interest from even non-football fans. As HBO is really making a huge push to exist outside of the ramifications of TV nonsense with its cable providers and exist as a digital media hub... getting one of sports' most forward progressive online sports guru's in Simmons makes perfect sense. I really want this partnership to happen, and there is no reason why it shouldn't happen.
