[Game of Thrones] Season Five

Have been binge watching again from season 1.

Currently up to season 3 episode 6.

However, in season 3 episode 5 - Arya is taken by the Brothers without Banners.

The Brothers without Banners are proclaimed followers of The Lord of Light.

The Hound is also taken, and is challenged to a trial by combat by their one eyed leader (name forgotten)

The Hound kills their leader, who is then set upon by one of his followers who begins praying.

Seconds later the leader rises again - alive and well.

Later in the episode he reveals he has died now 6 times and has been brought back each time.

After seeing that I now fully believe that Jon Snow is coming back with a vengeance. And I cannot wait.

Agreed, it's that show really toys with a notions of what a good guy is. You don't really want to be either extreme in this show.

 

Repped. I fully expect a flashback to this during the introduction montage for the first episode of next season.

 

Does anyone think the Lord of Light is the one true God and all the others are false gods? Mainly the 7 and the old gods. I guess the faceless God might be a true God.

 

Maybe all of them are.

According to Jaqhen H'aqhar, the Lord of Light, the Seven, and the Old Gods are all just different faces of the Many-Faced God.

 

Nothing special about this series anymore. There is no end to this crap.

 

The show/book will never ever answer that question for you.

 

Even if they've been stalling for a couple seasons, to say this show isn't special is silly.

And what would be the purpose of this entire plot line of minor insignificant characters and insignificant (plot point) ability to resurrect people with Red Priest/Priestess powers?

What would be the whole point of Melissandre coming back to the wall right before Jon gets shanked?

Then there is the whole "Who are Jon's Parent's" thing that has been teased since episode 1.

Yes its possible that this is all just a cruel joke, and they are going to keep him dead, or a lesson that GRRM and D&D want to teach the audience about failed potential, but IMO that's a huge cop out, and is just the writer taunting the audience.

 

people that think snow is dead are incredible naive.

 

Maybe. Sure gives him reason to finally leave castle black if that's the case.
