The old and the unemployed. Catering to the audience.

 

Pretty much, and it has been that way since the 80s. ITT Tech ads have just had competition from other colleges.

The schools make a killing from this, as most people who are jobless during the middle of the day qualify for financial aid. So, the schools get the grant money and the students rack up a ton of debt at these diploma factories.

 

This is how it's always been. I remember the same cheesy-type commercials back in the 80s.

 

Yep. There are only so many demographics watching TV at that hour:
- The unemployable (either those who lack formal training or are too injured/disabled to work)
- Bored House wives
- Kids (who generally only watch kids networks)
- The elderly (usually the targets of reverse mortgage ads etc.)

 

Yeah, its been like this for years. Personal attorneys, (Jim Adler..etc) and the ITT Tech, Art Institute...etc

Somethings just never change.

My landlord has been yelling "it's my money and I need it now!" at me for a few weeks. I didn't know he was referencing JG Wentworth.

Fast food commercials from 4 to 6.

 

Many people sitting at home during the weekday are probably injured or need a job, so I would guess it makes sense.

 

Too many lawyers. Don't blame the ambo chasers one bit.

 

The most expensive paid ad on Google is for the search term "structured settlement". Companies like JG Wentworth have to pay something like fifty dollars per click .

It must be pretty damn lucrative. I'm guessing they probably keep something like half your settlement for getting you cash up front.

 

They're preying on old people.
