i mean to be fair thats not really a negative. if any nba player isn't confident enough in their abilities to believe they can return to how well they have played before (barring due to old age - not case with jeremy) then they probably aren't confident enough to be in the nba. it is possible to be both humble and believe in your abilities, and i think that describes jeremy.
Denver just loves a dysfunctional front office. They had that three headed GM thing going on with Warkentien, Bearup, & Chapman. Now they've got Pete D'Alessandro & Malone together again.
It shouldn't be about confidence it should be about skills. You should have the skills first and that makes you confident. With Lin it's backwards he has confidence but he didn't work on his skills which is why he has all these haters, there's a lot of hype but then when he has the balland gets PT he either clanks it up or jumps in the air with no one to pass to. I mean he lost the starting job to a freaking rookie, how does that even happen unless you're scrubby mcscrub? Its really disappointing because Asians are stereotyped for being extremely humble and hardworking (ie Yao), but instead of improvement Lin actually seems to have regressed despite entering the prime of his playing career.
Jeremy will be a hot commodity in part of Asian countries for the next 10 years. They survive a lot longer down there. Not talking about his skill level though
I'm not exactly sure what your point is? Are you saying he should be less confident because he doesn't have the talent? I mean he clearly has talent based on the ceilings he's reached, for me it's always seemed Lin has been too hesitant and unconfident at times? I don't know specifics about how hard Lin works, but I doubt he puts in any less work than the average NBA player (probably more to get to where he is based on where he came from). It's not like I think Lin is some great player that is the Rockets long-term answer at PG but I think he can be a solid bench player at a decent price, and saying that his ego will cause drama inside the locker room is a stretch IMO. It's not like Lin gets a ton of media attention either, likely the only ongoing drama relating to Lin will be on this message board, which doesn't actually effect the players despite what some posters may think
LOL. Over 75% of Lakers fans dont want him back. 13 Lakers fared better than Lin on that poll. Well done Jeremy! You showed the Lakers during your contract year!!!
I have a laker fan pal who's been a fan since magic and kareem, he thinks lin sucks. Lin fans are liars when they say they are rockets fans or lakers fans. If they switch teams because of one player then they were never team fans. So the math is lakers fans minus lin fans who claim to be lakers fans = real lakers fans
Lol, small sample size and I think it was more of a "we're paying this much for him, might as well see him play and see what he's got" when those DNP-CD's started rolling.
Hmmm... ok? must have missed the rule where fans aren't allowed to even remotely like and root for certain players on their own team.
Except I'm not talking about Lin fans, I'm talking about Lakers fans? It seems like there is no middle ground with you people, you must either despise Jeremy Lin and think he is the biggest scrub in the NBA or you must want to put his balls in your mouth while you claim he is better than Magic Johnson, right? Didn't realize that the few of my friends that are Lakers fans that wanted Lin to get more than 0 MPG would be so controversial. Oh wait, I forgot, they must be LoF because if you even show a grain of respect to him then you are no longer a rational fan but a crazy, stalking, LoF!!! Right!
Clutch would not present a small sample chart. He uses facts, if you don't believe in them, then you think he's presenting false facts.
........It's ok! Not everything is lost! Lakers fans do want Vander Blue gone more than they want Lin gone! There's the grain of respect!
The funny thing is I'm not even a Lin fan. I think he is a mediocre player that can provide some upside off the bench. Some people here are just so obsessive about him that you can't help but pick a fight with every poster that won't join the anti-Lin circle jerk. We get it. He's not that great. But he's not on the Rockets anymore so maybe it's time to let it go.
Another article suggesting Mavs go after Jeremy Lin should Ellis walk away.... http://www.christiantoday.com/artic...ring.lin.in.if.monta.ellis.opts.out/56176.htm 1) Again, I would glady welcome that Mavs "upgrade"!!! 2) Someone please let Snooky Grawls know that Nuggets just got a new coach and unfortunately its not Mike D'Antoni :grin::grin:
