The rest of Cav squad w/o LeBron right now is a 20 win team at best. It's mind boggling how the games were even made competitive somehow. Nevertheless, FMVP w/o a ring is a joke.
Lebron James is just an all time great talent. In my opinion, Lebron is the 2nd best modern-day player behind Michael Jordan.
If you sit out a total of 20 mins through 5 games, of course his numbers would be insane and when every possession has to go through him.
so only sitting out 20 mins and putting up those numbers are not good enough? had to discredit it somehow right?
What are you talking about. You don't give MVP to a player on a losing team. That doesn't make any sense. It sucks for Lebron but that just won't happen.
Of course it can make sense and it has happened before. I agree it won't happen, given Curry worship, but it's not fair to say "it doesn't make sense." One great player + six scrubs, on one side Versus many all-stars and former all-stars on the other side. I'm fairly convinced the Warriors could win this series without Curry (or without Iggy, or so on...) I'm similarly convinced you would see nothing but four blowout games without Lebron on the Cavs. Lebron is easily the "most valuable" single player on the court in this series. He has single-handedly made this a series instead of a complete joke. If you mean best player on the winning team (which many people do), then fine. It's Curry, kind of... when he's been shooting well at least. Otherwise, Iggy is their player who has brought it to the gym every single night.
Not in this day and age. It doesn't make sense. Obviously the award has been overall the best player on the winning team. But a finals MVP isn't on the losing team. This year I would say iggy should get the award for his play on both ends much like kawhi last year
It's interesting that people complained about Harden not getting the MVP and thought the "best player on the best team" thing was a joke.
It was understood Atleast to me harden was the MVP in terms of being the most important to the team but completely understood why curry got it. So yeah the argument thing was a joke. Now finals MVP to a player not winning the championship is a joke to me
Politically correct thing to say, but I'd bet a good amount of money Lebron secretly wants this to happen if they lose.
I think they'd enjoy winning on the away court more. I would be pissed off if the Warriors swept us Game 4 and celebrated in the TC.
