If Matt Barnes is unwanted in Charlotte and gets bought out, do you want him if the cost is minimum salary? He would be a perfect replacement in case Smith or Brewer or Ariza leave via free agency or trade.

He might want more money but maybe the Rockets can motivate him with revenge on Glen for sending him away?

Barnes is a relic.... we should keep Prigioni and Terry for as long as we can....

I voted with my heart (aka 'no'), but yes for minimum salary, I definitely would. He'd give us options at the wing, and Morey the ability to fill in other holes where needed and make moves as necessary. Otherwise known as flexibility.

He's a terrible human, but a decent player with playoff experience for basically nothing. If he wants in, we'd be foolish not to.

dead weight.... I cannot believe people are voting for him

Have we run out of capable playoff performers? We are not desperate to put out

He said some repulsive things to Harden's mother. If what Morey said about consulting with James and Dwight is true, I highly doubt they sign off to it.

Why not? With Prigioni possibly retiring, we need another AARP member to fill the quota

Hes my most hated nba player. So no from me. But for the vet min and provided he and harden are ok between then it would make sense. Still will hate this move tho.

0 chance. Close thread. Matt Barnes burned his bridge with Houston after disrespecting Hardens mom.

Useful to the point that the Clips dumped his sorry arse when they could not get out of the 2nd round

If he turns into a free agent he's not going to come here. No chance. Not even Dallas and I doubt San Antonio. I see the Miami Heat or Chicago Bulls in his future.

Matt Barnes brings little to the table for what he brings in baggage. Imagine an older Ariza...except streaky on both his shooting and his defense.

Also....he's a thug and said some nasty things to Hardens mom

We should absolutely take a look at Matt Barnes if he becomes available. We can always use more toughness on our team.

What we'd want Barnes to bring ... He just failed to bring when in as good a situation as he could possibly be in.

The only upside here is the possibility of a "rebound" year

Imagine going to an office, calling the manager's mom a w****, then going the next month and applying for a job there.

If I can accept Jason Terry, I can certainly accept Matt Barnes. That said, the Rockets aren't offering more than minimum and he'll get more than that.
