Are the skeptics expecting at some point for Stannis, Hound and dancing teacher to show up in the future as a plot device? I think the show has been straight forward enough for me to think they are 99% dead.
99% sure Stannis ist dead Like someone said before, his last line should have reminded Brienne that her duty was to protect the Stark girls, not seeking revenge.
Does the red woman have any tangible powers? If a handicapped looking Gilly was close to being raped by the crows, red woman would be prime target. She's a certified Castle Black ten. Might end up being the new Ros.
I'm still not convinced the Hound is dead. Stannis... some possibility since they didn't show it, but I hope he is truly dead. He made a horrible choice and it cost him everything. Now he has no family, no army, no red witch. That scene/storyline went super fast last night... others didn't, such as Cersei's, but I guess there was a point to that. So many stories ending on cliffhangers, sigh, and so many characters dying. I have got to find a new fictional world to obsess over, at least until next year.
Possibly. Syrio was from Braavos. He could very well be a faceless man. Possibly even Jaqen H'ghar. And we never saw him die. Slim possibility the Hound is still alive, since Arya never finished him off. Stannis most likely dead. Whereas Arya refused to finish off the Hound, we never got any such indication from Brienne and considering her loyalty to Renly, it's extremely unlikely she didn't follow through on the execution. Even if Stannis reminded her to do her duty in regards to Caitlyn/Sansa, it wouldn't take any time at all for her to finish Stannis off. She was already swinging her sword.
Are you show watcher only fans now happy you can jump onto the book reader thread and post spoilers from the show.
Yup, I agree, Stannis just looks intimidating and plans too much. He isn't the best commander in field.
So, who gets Jon Snow's Valyrian Steel sword. And do they know its power? Jon didn't have the sword when he was stabbed.
I've read the books but this season ventured off from the books in so many ways that I don't really try and base my guesses on what will happen next in the show on the books anymore. One character is alive one place and that same character is dead in the other. So there isn't a real way to tell even having read all the books. Crazy stuff in the season's final episode. I don't really have any idea what will happen next, and the way this series is, it seems foolish to try and guess since there are always so many twists.
That's the thing. The show has been straight forward the whole way, except for these mysterious deaths. You clearly saw Eddard Stark die. You clearly saw Tywin Lannister die. You clearly see Rob Stark die. Hell, you even see Slynt die pretty clearly. But what's with the sudden vagueness for these minor character's deaths/disappearance? Seems pretty odd. It's not just fans grasping at any hope they can, it's pretty common knowledge among other science fiction series, that if you don't see the character dead, buried, and done, then their story is not finished. Signed Gandalf.
because the next book isn't out yet and the vagueness gives them flexibility in whether they want to follow the books direction, should it come out next year
^^^Will add he gets the title and the sword. Hopefully we will get to see a mutineer night's watch against the Night King's army.
