Changing directions for a moment, cyberx, do you have a sense for how concerned management is about the long-term health of Dwight's knee? And how that might influence their decision making going forward?
he's actually their 3/4 option but yes he excels in the GS system and fits perfectly with what they do.
He excels in a system with other stars. So do a lot of players in the NBA. That doesn't make him a fraud. He's an arrogant, dirty a-hole, but not a fraud. Now I do agree that any team interested in signing him thinking he'll be a star player for them(kinda like Cuban did with Parsons a year ago) is very misguided. He's a terrific complementary piece, but he has to have a couple All-Stars alongside him in order to be at his most effective. But again, who gives a rat's ass? He ain't coming here. He'll be in Oakland next year. My only concern is that Golden State is forced to shell out 15-16 mil/yr to keep him. That way eventually all that capspace tied up in 5-6 players kills their depth.
Now that the Clippers got Lance Stephenson for Barnes and Hawes the west got a bit tougher. If Paul and Doc Rivers can harness Stephenson they'll be a load next season especially with Stephenson checking Harden. Bold move by the Clippers IMO.
C-Rex, any interest in Matt Barnes? <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">It is unlikely Charlotte keeps Barnes, who'll become a free agent.</p>— Adrian Wojnarowski (@WojYahooNBA) <a href="https://twitter.com/WojYahooNBA/status/610610264438886400">June 16, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
So where did the idea of getting green come from?? Did cyberx say it? Don't tell me we are actually going to pursue him. We should be stockpiling our assets to acquire Lawson on draft night
From posters who don't know what they're talking about. No. Why would cyberx say it? It has zero chance of happening. Zilch. No chance. Nobody with any credibility has suggested we are going to pursue Draymond Greene. And we aren't stockpiling assets for Ty Lawson either. Lawson is paid around $12 million a year and he doesn't play defense. He's not a fit next to Harden. We aren't interested in him. We aren't going to acquire him. The Ty Lawson stuff is being thrown around by people who don't understand this team well enough and who think if they see Harden hanging out with another player in the summer that we are automatically interested in him. There's not a lick of truth to it. The only way we would be interested in Ty Lawson is if he came wrapped in a future first round draft pick that we could use to wrap him back up and send him back out when we want our cap space back. And that's simply not going to happen.
Bballhollic... tune everyone out for a minute and answer one question for me. Who are we interested in according to your "sources"? I'm dead serious. No sarcasm meant. Not questioning who you are or where you get your info from, I just wanna know what you hear.
Has the BBS ever seen a dumber poster so convinced of his own brilliance? Or at least one this prolific?
