True, and we haven't seen anything from them, for all we know, they could have confessed and been freed already.

Which characters do you want to see on screen more in 2016?

    Mine:

    1.Ramsay Bolton

    2. Tyene Sand
    3. Melisandre
    4.

I feel like Cersei gets too many scenes. DGMW, Lena is a great actress and the character is good, but let's pass the ball around.

They showed his head on a spike like an episode later. And plus it was pretty implied since you see the executioner's blade like .5 cm away from Ned's neck. Physically impossible to stop it at that point.

The Hound and Stannis are two "deaths" that show no actual proof of the deed. You never see the Hound die and you only see Brienne start her swing toward Stannis. Pretty plausible she could have stopped. I'm putting my money on Stannis being dead, however. My guess is that they didn't want to show the death because it would sully the good guy imagine of Brienne, and the honorable image of Stannis.

They didn't actually show Stannis' daughter getting burned... you just heard screaming and saw some blurred out fire in the background... SHE MUST BE ALIVE!!!

Come on now. The mother was screaming for her daughter's life. The men in the Army were looking away because it was so gruesome. I know your being sarcastic, but It's not ridiculous to think if there is no body or there isn't definitive proof of death that someone can still possibly be alive.

Heard an interesting theory is based on just purely watching the show.

They have said in the past and it's in the oath, that the only way to leave the wall is death. Maybe this is something Jon realized and had something set up with the Red Witch to reincarnate himself.

I think that it's possible for him to get out of his duties of the Night's Watch if he did die and is resurrected, but I in no way believe that Jon would have planned for it to be that way. There is just nothing that even hints towards that. His plan was to lead the Night's Watch and the wildings to protect the realm from the oncoming threat. That's it.

    Ah... I see...

Well, there was nobody left around Stannis when he was killed... because he caused them all to die. If there were, maybe we see "their" reactions to his death too.

Honestly, what would be the purpose of the writers keeping him alive at this point... THAT would be the more ridiculous supposition.

If you think Stannis is alive simply because they didn't show some cheap special effect of a sword going through him along with a blood packet exploding... then i'm not sure what to tell you. (not to mention that the wounds he'd already sustained in battle were most likely mortal as well... he lost about 2 units of blood from his leg alone in just 20 seconds).

Yeah stannis is dead. The way he looked at the blood from his leg was meant to show that he knew was dead. He has resigned himself to the fact that all was lost.

I still have interest in the show, but if Jon is not back somehow, it just won't be the same. The show has spent so much time building up his character and we have gotten to see him become a leader, the HCIC (Head Crow In Charge). To me this would be like killing Christopher on Sopranos in season 3, or killing Pinkman From Breaking Bad In season 4. Without the character of Jon Snow the show just won't have the same spark to it.

I have no interest whatsoever in Daenerys, she is such a bore, and her "badass" lines are so forced, and corny sometime....hell, most of the time.

Seeing Tyrion, and Varys rule in Meereen will make for some good TV, and the thing with Cersi just does not get me hyped up. Then, we have the Dorne story.... it just sucks.

Then there will be Jorah, and Daario.... yawn.

If they cast the right guy for the rumored character that might catch my interest.

Without Jon Snow though the show will not be that show that I have to watch on it's first airing, and turn off my phone so I won't get interrupted so I can watch it. It will go to being one of those shows that I'll catch on DVR later on in the week or something.

    OK, just my 2 cents.

She didn't take the free cities with dragons.... although Drogon played a key role in acquiring the Unsullied.

I don't know the point of keeping Stannis alive at this point either. I'm just making the argument that anyone can plausibly be alive if there is no definitive confirmation of death. For a show that shows pretty much EVERYTHING it seems peculiar to just cut away from the money shot.

I mean, why cut away? What's the point?

There was a man caning children in a brothel. That same man was gutted and his eyes were carved out.. by a child

A woman walked for 10 minutes naked.

A guy was stabbed multiple times the final stabbing came at the hands of another child.

A Woman fell to her death. We see her head smack against the ground

    A girl was poisoned.

All in the same episode. They cut away from Stannis dying? Why?

Its implied that she cut off his head, I think. That's a little tricky to show, without it looking fake, isn't it?

    Why not?

As you already explained... there was plenty of other blood/guts/gore/nudity/depravity for you to see (along with the superfluous Ramsey Snow killing a guy twice).

Perhaps they shot it... and it simply got cut for time. Or it looked too "fake" (as most of these "fake" deaths tend to appear), Or perhaps they thought their audience would be smart enough to put 2 and 2 together.

Who cares??? He's not coming back... and even if he did, his role would be useless.

I can only hope the sound we heard was someone taking Brienne out, that's why they did not show it.... one can dream, lol.

Ah.. I didn't get the sense that she was beheading him. I only remember 4 beheadings on the show: Ned takes the head of that guy in the first season who was deserting the black, Ned gets his head taken off, Theon takes a couple whacks at taking someone's head off, and this season when John beheads that guy.

I know they cut away from Ned's beheading. I vividly remember Theon's; that one was pretty graphic. I don't remember the other two though

I don't think they cut away just because Brianne was going to take his head. I don't know.

Showing Stannis die was one death too many? I don't believe that. Plus, Brianne only has two missions in life: Get the Stark children to safety and kill the guy who killed Renly. I would think that they would show that pay off, especially for a fan favorite character.

I think those cut-aways are reserved for the rape and child murder. Like I said, I don't care if he lives or dies, just making the argument he could be alive.

I think it would be total crap if The Hound or Stannis (who has lost everything) just suddenly emerge from behind some door later in the series. That would be totally soap opera-esque.

I thoroughly enjoyed the time they spent on screen, but neither serves a purpose anymore and hopefully they will not be returning.

Damn, they killed a lot of people on that finale. I'm also a bit concerned about running out of interesting story lines.
