Can someone give me a summary of what we are expecting today, tomorrow and Wednesday? Is this afternoon supposed to be bad?
From KPRC: Update from Justin Stapleton All eyes are watching the central Gulf as our (still) tropical disturbance is looking to intensify through the day and head towards the TX coastline. The storm will spread isolated showers inland throughout the day today with some pockets of heavy rain by late tonight. Tuesday the main impact will be heavy rain and wind. The storm is projected to make landfall Tuesday morning south of Houston which would put most of the area under the bulls eye for significant rainfall. Rain estimates from tonight through Wednesday are 4-8" area wide, with isolated spots seeing 10"+ mainly areas that are hit multiple times. We're expecting some significant flooding issues as the storm moves inland. That may extend in through Wednesday as well.
Experience tells me no matter what they say this thing will eventually turn southwesterly and hit around Brownsville or turn way east at the last second and hit Louisiana.

From what I can gather the storm is shifting to the west of us which means we will get the "dirty side" with heavy rain and flooding. If flooding does occur it probably won't happen until Tuesday morning since the storm is supposed to hit around 2-3AM. Just making wild conjectures here based off of other people's conjectures.
I was at the grocery store today, the herd was restless, water supplies we low. Rita put'em full stampede
Im going to the Astros game tonight- am I going to potentially have to spend the night at Minute Maid Park? We have really good seats so I do not want to cancel.

My wife just said to me "Why do people on the Chronicle website always ask if they should evacuate Katy?".
It seems like the eye is trying to form. Let's hope that it's nothing serious...I would hate to see more flooding in Houston.
Clutchfans is actually the new world order. All of us members are part of the executive board. We just don't know it yet.
3 hours ago Love the Katy jokes, but I've already had about 20 of these in the comments submitted to this blog. The short answer, of course, is that the entire metro area of Katy, Texas evacuated on June 1. Share eric.berger
