I think that is part of the problem, he is homer happy. He is a better hitter that what he has shown so far, but he is looking for homers, instead of that good at bat where he just hit the ball hard. Now, McCullers, forget about the No hitter, just give me 6 innings, and lets see Fields in the 7th, Neshek in the 8th, and Gregerson in the 9th, no matter the score, they need to throw, its been a while.
Since the 10th game of the year he has basically posted a monster .290/.400/.500 slash. He has quietly been one of the best all around players in baseball after a slow start.
Like i said, his problem is that he is home run happy instead of hitting the ball hard. Many, many of his outs are pop ups, he is looking for homers. He is leading teh club in homers, but he is NOT a homerun hitter, he can hit homers, but he is not a homerun hitter.Lets hope he improves his line drive at bats, and his average will climb.
random in a blowout game: remember when Rick Ankiel did this? 175 IP 3.50 ERA 1.30 WHIP 194 K 2nd in ROY voting behind Furcal
I wonder why you have this weird obsession with wanting to respond to me with statements that I, and the vast majority of this board, already know. Post less, please.
