LOL I love these stories. This group has given me a lot of joy woth this amd the satanstatue. Freedom of religion means all religions so also the ones you might find idiotic.
Satan is just as real as God but much less powerful and irrelevant in the END!!! He was created by God though and given dominion over the Earth.Some people just can't get enough of him even when they don't even realize they are playing right into his hands. Thank God for free will!!!!!.
The Satanic Temple doesn't actually worship Satan. They don't even believe he exists. They just use him to combat what they consider Christian overreach. This story isn't about them trying to promote Satanism. It's about them using Satan to prevent Christian groups from handing out Bibles at public schools. They use Satanism as a tool to fight for the separation of Church and State. Yes, there are real Satanists, but these aren't them.
"Funnily" enough in the old days they probably would have just thrown battery acid in their face or shot 'em in the head in their driveway. Ike ain't calling in the 101st Airborne for that.
This is just further proof that Satan exists and is actively trying to undermine America and the very fabric of our nation. I shall visit my church twice next Sunday.
Why doesnt God just beat up Satan and send him to jail? He created Satan and should be at least five times stronger.
I love how people have crafted this entire backstory for Satan even though there's essential nothing about him in the bible. There isn't even conclusive evidence that Lucifer, Beelzebub, The Adversary, and all the others mentioned in passing are supposed to all be the same being, much less any details. There's a whole pantheon of evil demons on top of that that appear to have been basically made up out of thin air in the Middle Ages. If you are going to put that much significance to the litteralnesss of the Bible, you should at least stick to what is actually in that Bible. Catholics at least have the excuse that whatever comes out of the Pope's mouth is automatically relayed directly from God.
Everybody knows there is no good without evil. To have a judgement is to define a range. Something has to be on the other side or there is no contrast. yin/yang MFs
But does it have to be personified, led and organized by one individual entity? How about just with God/away from God. Blaming everything on Satan borders on Zoroastrianism and blunts individual responsibility. "Satan made me do it." Puppetmaster Satan pulling all the strings is the original conspiricy theory.
