Refresh my memory please, why do you refuse to simply copy and paste the articles you post along with the links?

Young, upstart "Wall Street Journal" needs the clicks.

So if the Warriors don't win the championship, this could be the reason why?

Maybe he is trying to get the writer the legit clicks they deserve for writing the article?

Who is to say readers on here wouldn't still click on the link after reading the article or upon being given a short tease of what's in the article with the link and a request for fellow CF readers to click on it to read more?

Is it so hard for you to click a link, you poor soul, your life must be filled with minor inconveniences.

Your sympathy is extremely appreciated albeit unsolicited.

Nope, it's not difficult at all, seeing as I do so in almost every thread with a link IN WHICH SOMEONE ALSO POSTS AN ARTICLE OR A PORTION OF ONE.

I asked a question to the OP about why he chooses not to copy and paste the article ALONG with the link to it. (Notice i didn't say merely just copy and paste and forget about the link because, of course why would I care about a link to the article).
The question was for the OP as to why he does that and what the rationale behind it is. Are you the OP?
If not then probably might not be a bad idea to stay out of it. Just a suggestion.

Thanks for the link, it's better than post the entire article here.

If you only wanted responses from one person, you're probably better off not posting on a public message board. You can always send a private message. Just a suggestion.

Perhaps the OP didn't do it because it's easier not to spend the time to copy and paste? If you're interested in the topic, clicking a link doesn't exactly take a lot of work.

When CH does it, it usually means the article is just a fun article and not serious enough to have a take or post cliff note. So, he uses the thread title for fun and cliff notes.

    Like this WSJ article.

This wasn't really a good example of the unwritten rule that you are trying to uphold.

Perhaps if I created the thread then your suggestion would be meaningful. Since I didn't create a thread and ask for a response from one person then your suggestion doesn't really hold. I responded to the creator of the thread with a question. That happens in plenty of threads on here and on other public message boards.

I appreciate you throwing a suggestion as to why the OP didn't do it.
If I'm interested in a topic, I click on a link regardless. I merely asked the OP what his reasons were for posting links without copying and pasting the articles as well...in the manner that 99% of members on here do. Not sure where I stated anything about the work it might take to click a link, but nonetheless thanks again for the earlier suggestion as to why the OP does what he does.

Ah ok many thanks for that. I think CH explained it previously but I missed his explanation that's why I responded to him to ask that.
THANKS for answering for CH. Seriously, much appreciated.

Which you're implying about 99% of the forumers on CF are.
    Good to know.
