The CG Dinosaurs just looks so lame bro. I'll give it a shot, if you say it's the best one since the original and Pratt is in it since I liked him in Guardians I'll give this a shot. But the CG, MY GOD!!!!
I thought it was all pretty badass. Movie gets better as it goes too, with a nice climax. Spoiler The T-Rex vs lab-rex fight with the raptors was pretty cool. All smiles when leaving the theater.
I liked. rating B. Good casting. A couple of nice turns. Given it's basically the same movie, again, they executed the the plot and action extremely well. It moved. I would have liked it to slow down more to experience the park a little more, but overall, they nailed it. The only thing I didn't like is they turned the scientist into a bad person. He's a character I think we all liked. Leading man Chris Pratt delivered and carries the movie. I don't think the 3D added anything unfortunately except for a few moments. Go see.
Great movie; never seen any of the first 3 but my date had and she said they kept making references to the first one. Pratt does a great job as the lead; I thought the kids were pretty good as well. Really thought the smaller kid was just going to be the child version of Pratt and then the movie would proceed to show grown up Pratt.
Honest question: What can movies do to combat the CG-ness of it all? I mean, I don't have a problem with it, but I'd rather it be CG for 2 hours than 2 hours of some really crappy "realistic-because-it-isn't-CG" dinosaur.
This is turning out to be the second or third highest opening weekend ever. Pretty safe to say: Jurassic World will be an all time blockbuster
I loved it. Trevorrow did a good job of paying homage to the first film but also staying fresh and allowing the film to stand on its own. And there are a lot of nice Easter eggs. When you first enter the park in the beginning and the original theme is playing, it was like I was a kid all over again watching the first film. It doesn't quite match that one, but it definitely comes close and easily beats the sequels. Bout my only complaints are the end. I wanted them to up the ante a little more on the final dino fight and the last scene felt too abrupt. We took our 8yr old too see it as well and he thought it was awesome. Didn't scare him at all.
Not quite as good as the original, much better than the sequels. Jurassic Park is the first movie I remember seeing at the theater. I loved it, even had the T-Rex lunch box in 1st grade. Watching this one in the theater certainly had the same feel as the original, I really enjoyed it.
Was reminiscing about how back in the day, tie-ins with restaurants used to be such a massive deal. when mcdonalds, taco bell, burger king, etc used to change all their product packaging, make a huge deal about happy meal toys, and whatnot for the big family blockbusters. that seems to have gone by the wayside. all i've seen for Jurassic World is a new blizzard at DQ. Memories.
You haven't seen the awesome Barbasol cans referencing the original. That might have been the single coolest promotion I have ever seen.
Yeah, I remember building Inspector Gadget from I believe McDonalds. And the Star Wars I stuff from Taco Bell. Memories indeed.
Dude, I haven't seen "Jurassic World" yet, but you have to see "Mad Max" on a theater screen. One of the few action movies that actually starts great and just gets better as it goes along.
