Singleton has improved his zone contact rate a lot and consequently his whiff per swing...even though it hasn't drastically impacted his K%.

His stuff is certainly flashier, and his K rate looks good, but Feliz has yet to dominate in full season ball. He posted a 4.03 ERA last season, and he's posted a 5.03 ERA this season, granted he was in Lancaster. Musgrove is dominating right now, he is putting up some stupid numbers.(35-1 K/BB)

Musgrove and Feliz are basically the same age, and at the same level. I think what those 2 do between now and the end of the year will play a huge role in their perception. If they both finish strong, I think they could both move into top 50 prospect status.

Just for kicks - if we exclude Velazquez, Mccullers and Correa, the system is really hard to rank until we see which guys are for real this year and how the draftees perform. This would be my wild guess at a top 10:

    Phillips
    Feliz
    Bregman
    Nottingham
    Cameron
    Appel
    Musgrove
    Santana
    Tucker
    Singleton

I'd go ahead and exclude Singleton,Tucker and Santana as well. Those 3 are gonna be in Houston or in another organization before this year ends.

    1.Bregman
    2.Phillips
    3.Cameron
    4.Tucker
    5.Appel
    6.Musgrove
    7.Feliz
    8.Fisher
    9.Reed
    10.Nottingham

The peripheral stats are solid though, so the ERA isn't overly concerning to me right now. Factoring in traditional scouting, and I think he'll still come out ahead.

AA will definitely be huge for both.

Like this list. Excluding guys in majors or in holding pattern,

    I would go:
    Phillips
    Appel
    Fisher
    Bregman
    Tucker
    Cameron
    Feliz
    Musgrove
    Kemp
    Reed

2-8 are close and are basically interchangeable to me. Kemp to me is likely just a tad below 2-8 as I see him eventually being able to play 1B, 2B, and OF in majors with a good bat for a "bench" guy.

Aside from you thinking a little more of Fisher, our lists are very similar 1-8. I seriously think all 8 of those guys can be top 50 prospects if they perform well to finish the year. I think Reed can crack the top 100 as well if he hits at CC.

It's amazing that we may graduate 3 top 100 prospects, and still possibly end the year with an equal or better farm than we started the year with.

Amazing the talent in the system

Even without Correa, McCullers, VV, P Tucker

What it lacks is that superstar prospect like Correa.

It lacks it right now, one of them could elevate into super elite status.

If Brett Phillips continues his assault in AA, I would imagine that would get him into the conversation.

Think his bat will be good enough to be better than Margo's defensive value there as long as Villar isn't at SS.

Yea but if Correa and Springer end up being those

    Along with Keuchel

All we need is more solid talent and we are good

Two Astros prospects made the BA Prospect Hot Sheet this week:

    So many prospects....

The Astros as an organization have to have the most OF talent collectively. Any other organization Philips would be in at least AA, but the Stros just can't find a place for him any higher right now.

Forgot about Moran. He would be 10 for me barely.

That 2012 draft has a chance to go down as one of the greatest ever.

    Typical 1st inning for Lancaster...

    Phillips HR.
    Fisher hit
    Reed hit.

Mr. Fisher just whacked a grand slam for Lancaster.
