Feldman has had 2 really poor starts this year. Take those away and he is averaging close to 6.2 innings per start in his other 8 games and his ERA is 3.28. They'll have to see how Valesquez progresses. If all 5 current starters maintain quality, then Feldman is a perfect candidate to be traded (although the Astros will probably have to eat some of his salary).
No, but what happens when Feldman comes back? Keuchel, McCullers, Obie, McHugh, and Velasquez is an exciting 5. My guess though is, unless Velasquez absolutely blows up over his next few starts, he'll be sent down to AAA. When Feldman comes off the DL, I would assume Hernandez gets DFA'd.
We probably need Feldman. Velasquez & McCullers are going to be faced with career high workloads, and will likely see their innings restricted somehow. Plus there is Velasquez's long list of injuries.
Correa 2nd. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Today's <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Astros?src=hash">#Astros</a> lineup vs. SEA. <a href="https://twitter.com/Collin_McHugh">@Collin_McHugh</a> gets the ball at 3:10 pm CT. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Whiff?src=hash">#Whiff</a> <a href="http://t.co/xJjC7vHE58">pic.twitter.com/xJjC7vHE58</a></p>— #VoteAltuve (@astros) <a href="https://twitter.com/astros/status/609753254876938240">June 13, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Maybe they see an innings limit but I dont think stacking them is a good idea. They need the experience and confidence that they can go deep into games.
Just dropping in to say last night was damn fun. About time they snapped out of this funk! Reminds me of a game I went to against the reds about 10 years ago, where we scored 9 or 10 in the first inning, and were up 13-0 through 2 I think. That game was crazy.

Gonna need 1-4 to get the job done, with some surprise contributions from 5-9. Obvious statement is obvious.
I prefer Tucker vs lefties, he hits lefties well, in the minors i believe his average vs southpaws was over .300
why was free agency thread locked? may have been stupid to most, but was it really offensive enough to lock it? dude was curious and that's what was on his mind. i'm as worried about this forum becoming GARMified as the next guy (well, as worried as the handful of posters who have used this forum over the past several years), but i'm curious why that one was locked. speculating about this offseason's FA class isn't all that insane.
McHugh isn't fooling anyone these days. He's starting to look like a weak link in the current rotation.
