    Toward the bottom of this article it does address the "transracial" issue and it brings up some good points. Sure if she feels she is truly African American, then why shouldn't she identify herself as such. But, as other people have pointed out, black people can't just switch races when they want to. Plus she not only claimed to be black but claimed the oppression that comes with it.
