They stink. Good grief! Here comes those Rangers! Maybe getting back home will help, ha. ...where they started the losing streak. Come on, Keuchel on the mound, it's just one game against the Orioles, no big deal! 7 straight losses later...
Games still count... but standings will be vastly different by then. So, you can either worry yourself sick for something that may or may not be an issue in 3 months... or you can just focus on your team winning games. Head-to-head games against division opponents are also much different/more important... and you're inherently "scoreboard" watching in those game in and of itself. I do agree that every game against a division foe right with you in the standings IS a much bigger game than these inter-divisional matchups.
The teams inability to hit for average is its down fall. we dont need pitching. need to get rid of the 200 batters.
we need to get more on base guys. said that from the get go. you name me a team that has an offense that K's alot that has won a WS. I'll answer for you, there is none.
Astros are not as good as that 10-game winning streak they had early in the season. They also aren't as bad as this 6 (likely 7) game losing streak. So no need to overreact or worry too much...at least not yet. Nearly every team goes through a slump or two during a season, even those that win 100+ games.
Ha,not his fault at all Early in the year you continually boasted about how much better Hinch managed the bullpen than Porter I simply said its easier to manage a bullpen with guys who are throwing well, you wanted no part of that Just pointing out that its tougher to be a great manager when you relievers are struggling
