Just a point RE: Lins defense It's very clear to see why he struggles a defensively when you compare his lateral footspeed with that of Dellavadova. Good defense is often as simple as simple shuffling and staying in front of your man, cutting them off and then making them take a contested shot. Thats quite literally all it is. Lin simply is a bit of a plodder for a guard when it comes to lateral movement, thats why we've seen him often do a bit better than expected when he gets switched onto slightly bigger guys who aren't necessarily as fleet of foot.

If we go for a 3rd star like Love/Aldridge I would not expect us to have any of those picks (or even Capela perhaps). Morey would have to find the cheapest options available to fill needs and Morey loves bringing back players even if they were failed projects (I mean, we brought back freaking Joey Dorsey, and I hate Dorsey more than Lin).

To be fair, other than the racist taunts in college, Lin being Asian most likely cost him a scholarship and being drafted, there's no denying that, he was a great high school and college player.
