Round 37, Pick 1099: Luken Baker, RHP, Oak Ridge HS (Shenandoah, Texas) TCU commit, Gatorade National Player of the Year... and has informed everyone that he's going to TCU.

Gotta say this draft is looking really solid especially the first three picks... all 3 of those guys have superstar potential. Hope we can sign everyone
Round 38, Pick 1129: Nick Rivera, 1B, Florida Gulf Coast 55 games, .347/.458/.608, 10 HR, 70 RBI, 34 R, 40 BB (6 HBP) 34 K, 1.066 OPS
I like this one. 99.9% chance we don't have a shot, but there's that .1% chance that getting to play for his home town team may appeal to him.
Round 39, Pick 1159: Alex Vargas, RHP, Monroe Community College 10 starts, 6-2, 3.90 ERA, 60 IP, 54 H, 29 R (26 earned), 28 BB, 72 K, 1.37 WHIP, .234 opponent average
The Astros close out the 2015 Major League First-Year Player Draft with... Round 40, Pick 1189: Steve Naemark, LHP, Angelo State Junior, but already 25. 1.37 ERA was 9th in Division II and a new single-season record in the Lone Star Conference, and his 138 Ks was 2nd in DII. 21 appearances (18 starts), 11-1, 2 saves, 1.37 ERA, 125 IP, 93 H (3 HR), 29 R (19 earned), 23 BB, 138 K, 0.93 WHIP, .204 opponent average
A lot of people on twitter seem to think that the Astros might have a shot at Cole Sands. I don't know where we are gonna get the extra juice but it is definitely interesting.
Going to sign for minimal slot... and then they all get 10 year guaranteed money extensions thereafter.
Probably came after the rumors that Daz is demanding less than 5 million. I would love to add Sands along with all our other top guys
I like that Astros had a plan. Now even though everyone is confident top 3 guys sign, I will hold my optimism until I see it official. But I was very happy to see Astros make some bold moves and go for the top talent. People were saying Aiken + Nix > Bregman + Cameron.... But even if Bregman is a # 10 talent in a stronger draft, Cameron would still be a top 7 guy based on his potential alone. For all the fuss about Nix being a 1st round talent, he went in the third round....
