I've been a bit torn this series on who to root for because yes, I did think the Rockets would beat the Cavs had they made it to the finals. For that reason, I sort of wanted Golden state to pummel through them and show me that the Rockets were the 2nd best team in the league and the real finals already took place. On the other hand, I hate GSW with a passion so I want them to lose.

Lebron beating the Warriors two straight games without Love or Irving does rather highlight how much more the Rockets need to improve. The Rockets may be one of the best teams in the league but we're apparently not the second best team. Maybe we do need that third star Morey was talking about a year ago.

I wouldn't assume because the Warriors have struggled against the Cavaliers that the Rockets would too. Match ups play a really large part in this series and the Warriors are missing open shots that they hit against the Rockets.

Concerning improving, yes the Rockets need to improve...

Lebron has been dominant ever since Kobe started declining. He's so good because he can score any time he wants and if you don't have a point guard, he can run the point without turning over the ball. That is what's wrong with golden state, they thrive on turnovers and fast breaks. With the ball in lebron's hands. good luck with that.

Great Hustle play, but how was that not a foul on Lebron. He straight tackled Curry.

I think he hit the ball first so it was a loose ball before he tackled him, but it was definitely a foul.

I don't really see why Curry of all people needs a specific team. What specific type players does he need around him? Solid defenders? Harden and Westbrook need those kind of teammates too. 3 point shooters? Harden and Westbrook need them much more.

If Curry was a hiring manager this would be the things he's looking for in teammates:

    1. Can you set a moving screen?
    2. How about selling a moving screen?
    3. Can you flop during a moving screen so that the opposition gets called for a foul?
    4. Can you fake injury during said flop?
    5. Can you set a GOOD moving screen?

Last year's Durant was good on defense. A pretty clear top 2 player when healthy, IMO.

Lebron is arguably one of the best players of ALL TIME. Of course he is flat out better than Curry.

I think the Rockets would've beaten the Cavs, Kyrie or no Kyrie. Dwight would've shut down the paint unlike Bogut, Green, and Ezeli who've been unable to. Harden would be constantly attacking the rim and getting whistles whereas the Warriors hardly ever get to the foul line because they're a jumpshooting team. And I think the Rockets would've also been far more conscious about trying to push the pace(especially when Brewer's in the game). I don't know why Golden State is allowing Cleveland to keep things so slow as if we were back in the Mike Fratello days in the 90's.

It kills me that we probably could've beaten any team in the NBA but the Warriors this year. Hell, we even finally overcame the Clippers jinx that's been plaguing us for 2+ seasons. Of all the years to face a fully healthy 67-win juggernaut with 2 of our key guys out.

It's just dimensionality. Curry is maybe a two-dimensional player (at least when he isn't flinging turnovers all over the place), and Lebron can contribute in every single imaginable way to winning a game.

Lebron is the best all-around player, but he gets much more defensive leeway from refs than everyone. Imagine if Howard was officiated like James. (James is much savvier than Howard, to be fair.)
