The Wednesday Night Wrestling Wars begin tomorrow. Lucha Underground (8pm ET/7pm CT, El Rey Network): Jack Evans is back, and he's facing Argenis in one-on-one action. Plus, Big Ryck and his trios team take on the Trios champs: Son of Havoc, Angelico, and Ivelisse. And of course, some weekly Dario Cueto shenanigans. WWE NXT (8pm ET/7pm CT, WWE Network): We got a rematch from a few weeks ago, as Carmella takes on Alexa Bliss, who recently found new partners in Blake and Murphy. And for the first time, Finn Balor fights Rhyno. Ring of Honor Wrestling (8pm ET/7pm CT, Destination America): ROH makes its anticipated debut on Destination America. This week, it's action from night 2 of the Global Wars show with matches such as New Japan's KUSHIDA vs Will Ferrara and The Briscoe Bros. vs the House of Truth. Impact Wrestling (9pm ET/8pm CT, Destination America): Quite the night over at TNA tomorrow, as Impact will air their first show moving to Wednesday nights. Rockstar Spud, the current TNA X-Division champion will make his decision regarding Option C to face TNA Champion Kurt Angle. Also, Eric Young faces Lashley, as well as a 6-man tag match as the Beat Down Clan faces The Rising. A great day to be a wrestling fan. This could be as exciting as The Monday Night War back in the 1990s.
Slightly off topic, but I'm glad D12 is sticking around town and seems to enjoy being in H-town. Does he have things he can improve, absolutely, but I like the fact that "Playoff Dwight" has been a solid contributor the past two years. Hoping the guys can take another step next year. Missing basketball, but looking forward to a great summer of baseball in Houston. Back on topic, who do you think wins MITB this year? Hearing that Reigns is getting over in house shows now, which bodes well for him getting the title at some point from Rollins.
There are rumors that WWE will have another exclusive special event on the Network just like the one they had with the Elimination Chamber. It will be live in Japan with some appearances from Brock Lesnar and Chris Jericho plus the NXT Title match between Kevin Owens and Finn Balor. Card subject to change.
That's a really weird opponent for Brock unless KK has some Japanese background they're propping up. Or maybe they're gonna have Kofi win mitb. And I thought Kidd was injured?
Kofi will probably be Authority running interference. I think Brock/Kofi would be amazing too. At worst, a Lesnar beat down at best an athletic/counter after counter match with two of the most athletic guys in wrestling history.
Looking forward to see how they treat him... he was always a guy in TNA that I thought was destined for bigger things. Him and Kevin Owens could have some classics
