Is this the time to settle the war between the two? YES.
First of all, check my profile before you claim me as LOF or LOH, you will know I am a long time Rockets fan, even before time of 1st Clutch City.
This BBS has been and still is basically the Fan BBS of Houston Rockets, even when superstar Quitten and Sir Charles joined team, it didn't happen that thousands of fans who attached to a single player crowded into the site and spoke all of sudden.
I saw of sign of prelude of LOF when Yao was here, remember term of YOF?, but Yao was such a great player and mutual loyality between him and team who drafted him, also his successful(short) NBA career all becamea such silencer to all YOH.
It is another case for LOF, Lin is also a great person who works hard and talks right, he is a great teammate and qualified PG even on NBA standard, but here are the problems:
    Lin himself:
1: Expectation was high, he joined team right after Linsanity year, although he put up "not too bad" number, his contributes didn't match his big contract.
2: Like all other young players, he made mistabkes which put him into position to blame, allowing other good games he had in same playoff series.
    LOF:
1: Blame other players for his turnovers, commanding other players to adjust to him.
2: Flood BBS with lin-only posts, blame other fans for criticizing Lin, which at most of time are correct.
3: Put lin over team, developed hatred during argument, eventually lost cool.
4: Failed to go to the fan's site to defend Lin, instead, hang around Rockets's team site.
5: Failed to realize overloud fans didn't help his.
    LOH:
1: Failed to realize Lin was a member of the team, his supporters are on your side.
2: Unable to accommodate other fans with other interests
3: Failed to seperate majority from extremist, developed hatred during argument, eventually lost cool.
    4: Overcriticizing

Now, Lin is on his way out of Lakers, why LOF and LOH are still arguing on clutchfans?
LOF should realize this is a fan site of Rockets and will forever be,Rockets was not too bad towarding Lin, Lin probably will play for other team next season and go to other site to follow him.
The better solution is creating a site for Lin only fans, he has such big fan base, and he is a such a popular person, he deserves something for his own.
I personally believe he is qualified nice NBA player and should find his postion with other team, even here.
For LOH, it is time to stop hatred, view Lin as another NBA player, anyways he is not on your team, allow his fan to say in NBA forum. Turn focus back to Rockets, it is time to think more about whether Patrick Beverley is enough to stop opponents Gs.

As a side note finally, like some others suggested, Lin probably should cosider playing in China, where he will become a sure mega success, put all these negitives behind and come back stronger maybe.

Absolutely no such thing as a LOH.
It was a term created by the Lin fans who couldn't handle the criticism of his play.

Lin fans are not allowed to make up words on clutchfans.

That's only reserved for pure rockets fans.

There were no LOH until Lin left the team. With Lin no longer on the team, people dedicate majority of their posts on that thread to hate on him became LOHs.

OP, I like your post, however I don't think the fight will stop. And adding another thread to the topic will only make it worse.

Lin is a below average player.

Lin fans, we are not here to accommodate you.

This a rockets fans site. You swear allegiance to House Clutch or face trial by combat.

What? You think we forgot lin was on the rockets for a few years? Those airballs and turnovers are fresh in our minds.

It was Ramsey like torture watching him play

OP, it's a nice try and I respect you for the effort, but the outcome will be exactly what you don't want and what we don't need, an endless thread about Jeremy Lin that will consist of the same on going "conflict" we have in the other thread.

Generally speaking Rockets fans don't hate Lin. We recognize that Lin is not a starting PG and refuse to pander to his delusional fans. He is extremely soft and crumbles under pressure. He excuses his lack of aggression by pointing to teamwork and selfless play. He doesn't get it, but at least he seems like a nice guy.

You make some good points and some terrible one. For example, Lin's supporters were never on the Rockets side. If we had won a championship with Lin playing 10 minutes they still would have hated McHale and the Rockets. We have no duty to accommodate fans who don't actually care about the team.

As far as overcriticizing, that didn't happen until Lin fans started throwing our entire team under the bus. The criticism would have still been there and would have been valid but the response from lunatic supporters called for equally harsh criticism. The racism allegations that are perpetually thrown out only made the situation worse.

This "debate" will never end because Lin fans refuse to adjust their expectations to reality. Until then, they will continue trolling the Rockets and every other team he has failed for (see any Lin site or Chris Baldwin article).

Although the message boards haven't been around nor as popular as current times, I've never remembered another player who may have had as large of an effect on a single franchise' fans than Lin.

Assuming sports-related message boards were well popular enough from 2000 and onwards, I can't remember any other NBA player, or even NFL, MLB, etc... Just one guy who left a team and managed to generate so much discussion from the prior fan base.

I don't claim to have frequented every single professional team's message board in the past 15 years, but I'd be happy to hear if anyone else has another player in mind.

What boggles me is how Lin was able to establish such a huge fan base. There have been plenty of asian players before him, even westernized asian players in professional sports.
