You're welcome. The truth is the truth. My reaction is one of a father who fears for his son's safety. I saw that girl's father on TV last night and I was impressed at how well he was able to keep it together. I would have gone ballistic if someone did something like that to my daughter. And they'd better drop the "charges" against that boy for running away because after seeing how the "police" acted in that video, he did the right thing in running away from a cop pointing a loaded gun at unarmed kids. Look, I'm not anti-police even though I grew up in Houston during Herman Short's reign of terror. I have numerous family members who are/were officers. My uncle was one of the first black deputy's in Harris County and my cousin is a sgt in HPD today. Simply put, that cop should lose his badge for what we saw and that's not just my opinion but the opinion of two GPD police officers in my church.
And to be clear, I'm not saying the cop has to be fired - there is still a lot of conflicting information in this story and a lot that we don't know about. But we can clearly his disposition in comparison to other officers here, so we have a way to compare reactions regardless of the details of the circumstances. Even if it turns out he actually did nothing technically wrong, he's probably still better suited in a different role. On the surface, I'd be much more comfortable having those other officers address the next disturbance than this guy.
Racists can't help but be racist, it's sad, but there's really nothing you can do to help them. We can all hope that they die out eventually and that they don't pass it on to their children.
The cop has been suspended pending an investigation and probably a disciplinary hearing. He will likely receive some sort of disciplinary action, which as you can see from reading this thread, nearly everyone agrees is probably appropriate. What is not likely to happen, unless he has prior issues, is the cop being fired. This is just the hysterical wailings of people caught up in a lynch mob type mentality, and of course the usual race agitators. But whatever the appropriate punishment is according to the McKinney Police Department standards, he likely will and should get.
The way he was rolling around. . . . i think they should have drug tested him I would not be surprised to find out he was hyped on Meth Rocket River
So he's racist for describing what he perceives to be racism? I think this whole reverse racism thing is starting to make some sense to me now. Not really...
There is no such thing as "reverse" racism. Also, anyone who believes that certain "races" of people are somehow immune to being racists because of their "race," is very certainly a racist. And that is true regardless of what that person's skin color is, or what sort of self-serving explanation that anyone comes up with to try to excuse their racism.
A hammer thinks everything is a nail, a racist thinks everything is racism. There were 70 people trespassing that a handful of cops had to deal with and one flipped out.....but let's pretend that it was just racist cops mad that black kids were at a white pool....SMH. The one cop flipped out and should be punished for it, but this isn't F'n Selma.
Here you other issues but i still don't think he will be fired what he did to the girl was wrong but as for the pulling of his weapon that's another issue all in itself. http://bossip.com/1152040/mckinney-...sly-sued-for-racial-bias-and-sex-abuse-43081/
Always have. He flipped out and made an otherwise calm situation a lot worse. I think he probably did it because he was overwhelmed....either way it doesn't matter. I don't want cops that lose their cool like that on the force. Any cop that thinks he has to get in a dick measuring contest with a bratty little 14 year old girl shouldn't have a badge IMO.
Which is ironic, since the out-of-control cop outranks all the other calm and reasonable cops you see in the video. He has stripes on his shoulder and none of the others do. You can also see that they are doing what he says when he tells them to "get those MF'ers!" right before he took down the 14-year old girl in the bikini for the 2nd and 3rd time and then pushed her face into the grass and stuck his knee in her back.
Exactly. It is amazing to me that people are going out of their way to defend the one raging officer and then acting like people are talking about all the cops there. No, just that ONE. This thing is so racially motivated and mainly by older folks. Just die off.
His past record is a factor, and I expect the MPD will take that into account. The link you provided suggests he may have a history of some sort, but their presentation of it did not strike me as necessarily legitimate, reliable or persuasive. As far as pulling the gun, that appeared to be completely appropriate and very well handled by Officer Casebolt. He was surrounded by a group of people who had begun to attack him as he was in the process of subduing the young girl. Whether you think his actions with the young girl are appropriate have no bearing on this group of people's decision to assault a police officer, which they very certainly did. At that point, he pulled his weapon. Watch the video again and see for yourself. If Officer Casebolt is criticized in any way for the way he pulled or handled his weapon, I will be extremely surprised.
