I don't like your posts 99.9% of the time You are way too reactionary But you are spot on here Hinch don't get it
Can't believe I'm responding to you... But if you're worried about facing an ELITE pitcher... shouldn't you also be worried about where your runs are going to come from? Who do you want playing LF tonight? Villar could conceivably make an error every inning tonight... but if they can't score on Sale (not looking good thus far), its pretty meaningless.
Marisnick's batting average has fallen back to Earth. Did the switch to leadoff hurt or was he already struggling before then? Corera replaces his position, yet Hinch still finds him a spot
He is who he is for now... and there's now enough bats for there to be a "book" on him. He'll need to improve/make adjustments for sure, but his defense is good enough to keep him out there even if he gets worse with the bat.
I'm saying there aren't that many viable options right now when you're facing a tremendous left-handed starting pitcher. They do need runs as well... unfortunately Tucker/Rasmus aren't hitting as well as Villar is against lefties right now. This rain delay may be the "best" chance to win this game... even if it costs them McCullers.
I would take Tucker or Rasmus in LF all day long over Villar Not sure why so many people have a hard time understanding how bad his mistakes cost us
