Update, 2:05 p.m. – "Buzzfeed News spoke to Brandon Brooks, who uploaded the video to Youtube. 'I think a bunch of white parents were angry that a bunch of black kids who don’t live in the neighborhood were in the pool,' he said. 'Everyone who was getting put on the ground was black, Mexican, Arabic,' he said. '[The cop] didn’t even look at me. It was kind of like I was invisible.' Brooks is white."
The usual suspects resort to the race card. Shocker. Queue up Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. When one or both of these men install themselves at the head of this media-inspired, racially-motivated leftist lynch mob - which we all saw in action in Florida for the Trayvon Martin shooting, in Ferguson for the Michael Brown tragedy and in Baltimore for the Freddie Gray killing - we will all know at that moment that the shark has been well and truly jumped.
The kids were out of line, cops being called was appropriate. That one cop went overboard, but not criminally so.
I actually live in that neighborhood so here's my two cents: The pool party shouldn't have happened since it's against the HOA The residents in the neighborhood were within their rights to call authorities for public disturbance From the start of the video, it seems most police officers are calm There was a cop that way over-reacted and should've been disciplined No problem with the teenage girl, did nothing out of character for someone that age. Without the overreaction, the party would've been stopped. The residents that promoted the party would've been fined, and we'll all be on our merry way.
This kid (the one who filmed it) is more mature than those unruly adults at the pool. He was reaching both his hands back in that snap shot, he's obviously an ambidextrous shooter. He must have had a Glock in his left holster and a Smith and Wesson in his right holster because as all cop killers know, two means one.
Yes, many a suspect, ie black guy, have been killed reaching for guns that could never be found. Very true.
