    Nice try.

Look how much Mexico benefited from the shale technology advancements (hint: almost nil). California certainly wouldn't have been as pro-growth in the same situation. You do have to tip your hat to Perry's results on jobs. I personally would never vote for Perry for POTUS, but his results are positive from his time in Texas.

Rick Perry throwing his 10 gallon hat back into the ring.

Perry's brand worked well enough in Texas, but he has a mountain to climb nationally. He has to get past the bad first impression he made 3-4 years back ("what's the third department you'd cut?" "uuuuuuhhhh...."). Plus, he just doesn't have W's folksy (b.s.) charm, let alone political name or machine.

It's odd, in a way, that no one really stands out in the Republican field of Presidential candidates. To speak to your average Republican today, they hate every breath, every syllable, that Barack Obama emits. You'd think they'd have their obvious "eight-years-for-you, eight-years-for-us" candidate ready.

Although, to be fair, Bill Clinton showed up for the other side out of nowhere back in 92, and so there's time yet for someone to pull a Secretariat-at-Belmont amongst the Repub contenders.

I actually agree with all this. Perry is wasting everybody's time. He achieved good results while in Texas, but he doesn't play well nationally at all, and he's simply not capable enough for the role of potus. By the way Obama wasn't/isn't capable enough for the role, either, and look at his terrible results and performance as potus. Perry's qualifications actually blow Obama's out of the water when Obama ran.

Seriously, the way some conservatives comment about the state of the union, I would believe the U.S. is currently in some great recession and started a war that was unnecessary costing thousands of American service members' lives.

Exactly. Anyone, and I mean anyone, who wanted a job could get one in the Eagle Ford.

Yes, just like the one Hillary voted for and is one of many reasons I won't vote for her. At the very least, she is willing to admit she made a mistake.

Wow, I think I have seen you post this at least a hundred times.

Amazing how you can completely justify the utter incompetence of your party, with just one sound byte. Congrats.

What's really funny is how texxis drags Hillary and Obama into a thread about the 2016 GOP contenders. He is so consumed with hate that he just can't help himself.

What's even funnier is that he thinks this dig at Hillary is somehow relevant. The democratic party made peace with Hillary and her vote a long time ago, yet texxie uses it like it's some kind of dig at her and democrats.

Because I love using that line to completely shut down you lefties and then watch you get defensive and cry foul. Works every time, because it's true. The truth always strikes a nerve.

Well I'm not a leftie, but I'm guessing that probably doesn't matter to you.

And what exactly is true that is striking a nerve? That Hilary voted for the Iraq war? Why would I care about that? I am not a Hilary supporter. I don't like her.

If you wanted to talk truths, let's talk truths. The truth is that a poster called called attention to the shambles the Conservatives left this country in after thier eight years. And twice now you have dodged that topic. Why don't you stand up for your beliefs? Why not acknowledge it and own up to it?

Knowing you, you will probably reach into your bag of predictable tactics to avoid talking about things.Which one will it be today?
1.) call it a typical liberal talking point and blankety dismiss it.
2.) attack the validity of me as a poster and call me "exposed" or something similar.
3.) use some dumb line about resulting to insults and how I have already lost the debate.
4.) quote some arbitrary or irrelevant study and claim it as fact.

Is that all of them or did I miss one?

9/11 was planned largely under Bill Clinton's tenure.

Looks like #4 is the winner!

    So predictable.

So back to the topic at hand.

Scott Walker said today he would be interested in taking some online courses to finish his college degree if he's elected president.

Can you tell us what actions and policies Mr. Perry is responsible for? what influence he had in making the Eagle Ford the greatest wealth and job creator since the Dotcom explosion? Do you know what the responsibilities of the Governor are in Texas versus the Lieutenant Governor?

Do you understand the structure of the oil industry in Mexico versus the US?

Do you think the Congressional vote on Iraq was based on true information or a created justification designed by the Executive Branch?

It's hilarious that a large crux in Texxx's argument is us 'lefties' blind admiration for Hillary so he can throw out simple one liners such as "Ha! Hillary, your saving grace, also voted for the Iraq war!" when a large portion of the liberal posters on this message board really don't like Hillary that much.
