I was thinking it was her new husband, but he got stabbed pretty good lol.

-Danny is anti killing and anti fighting pits but her panties were dropping listening to daario talking about killing in those pits

-the Jamie cersei relationship is a worse kept secret than loras being gay apparently

-elaria sand had a really weird turn of events

-lucky bronn. Hope he marries that sand snake

Is it safe to assume the Dornish are unaware that Tywinn is dead?

Unless he too harbors a secret grudge against the Lannisters, and also wants revenge for his sister's death.

Burning the daughter was stupid and just for shock value. Like let's show the viewer how much crueler we can be every week.

They let the viewer invest some goodwill in Stannis and just throw it away stupidly.

The rest of the episode fell flat after that left such a bad taste in everyone's mouth.

They've been foreshadowing that would happen since the beginning of the season. If people didn't see this coming, they weren't paying attention.

How many innocent people did Stannis burn to death before this episode? Its easy to forget how flawed these characters vying for the Iron Throne are. In a world where innocent people -- men, women, children -- die in horrible, unfair ways on a regular basis, this was just one more death.

Even after "sacrificing" his daughter, Stannis is still one of the better ones. That's just how cruel this world is.

After episode 8, the hype was amazing, the show was redeeming itself. Then comes episode 9, Arya?meh, Dorne? meh, The wall? meh.

The fighting pit was cool, until Dany hopped on Drogon. It just looked so cheesy. It reminded me of this:

I guess I was just expecting more after Hardhome. Then again, I'm not a fan of Dany at all so I guess that figures into my opinion.

I'm not hating/trolling what so ever, it is just not what I was expecting.

HA! I didn't even see this when I posted my above reply. I'm serious, that was the first thing that popped into my mind. That, and Harry Potter riding his broom.

FWIW, Dorne is part of Westeros. It's the southern most part of it. Sunspear and the Water Gardens are closer to Kings Landing than Winterfell is.

When was Stannis ever likable? He's a power hungry egomaniac and ruthless killer. He's always been in the same category as Ramsey Bolton. Except Ramsey does his thing with a smirk.

Arya is a terrible assassin. She's hypnotically following Trant 10 feet away and the mama-san snuck up on her twice.

Khaleesi pretty much has to kill all the non-slaves in Mereen now.

Yeah I don't get that either, he was a super good guy when he had his spiritual adviser conjure up a spirit to murder his brother, and just fine when he was burning numerous others at the stake, but now that it's his daughter he's a b*stard for it? How was him doing this out of character at all?

Did we think Stannis was awesome when we heard the story about how Davos saved his life by getting his men food smuggled past a blockade and his reward was having his fingertips cut off?

I disagree. Both Stannis and the Boltons are ruthless killers, but Stannis has never taken pleasure in it and views it as just. Ramsey hunts, tortures people (flaying is worse than burning I think) and enjoy it while his father casually talks about raping the woman who bores his son under the dead, hanging body of her unapproved husband.

Even though Stannis is a fire burning, religious fanatic, I'm still rooting for Stannis to destroy the Boltons.

So.... how about it? Stannis vs Boltons? Burning vs Flaying?
