Glad to hear Howard and Harden are bonding together in the off season. Nice to see D-Mo and Howard together too.
I couldn't care less with who they're with whether it's KD, Aldridge, or Gasol or whoever. As long as our two guys are actually hanging out then I'm fine with that.
And plz no to Jennings. He was a frustrating player to start with now with the achilles he can be even worse. Taking out his speed and he could be outright terrible. No need to gamble on him.
How do you confuse Howard and Russell Wilson? There's a foot difference between the two and look nothing alike.
I only see harden and Durant. I don't see anyone that looks like Wilson nor Howard. Not even Westbrook.
The Rockets imploded against the Warriors. If this Rockets team had gotten to the Finals they would have proven they were a contender. We didn't. We weren't. We aren't. We are overachieving pretenders. And WE WILL NEVER WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP WITH T_ONES AND DMO IN THE BIG MAN ROTATION TOGETHER. We did not win a championship with both those guys in the rotation together. And we never will. Going back and reading your stupid posts last season and this season on Jones is an exercise in hilarity. I told you before the Portland series that Jones was toast against LaMarcus. Of course, you really didn't care because you weren't expecting to win a championship last years anyways! You didn't believe we were a championship contender then. Now going into this season we lost Asik, Parsons, and Lin and replaced them with Ariza and scrubs and rookies. And all of a sudden we're a championship contender this season???? You constantly make no logical sense. I told you before the Portland series last season that our only chance to win that series was to have Dwight and Asik play together extended minutes against Portland's Lopez/LaMarcus lineups. We run Jones out there and go 0-2 before Coach Can't Adjust Fast Enough decides to switch to Asik. We went 2-2 over the next 4 games. Obviously Asik was the guy that should have been starting from game 1. Fast forward to this season. All season I told you that _ones was going to kill us in the playoffs, that he could not play effectively against playoff caliber starting power forwards/centers. We had to go down 1-2 against the Clippers before, once again, Coach Can't Adjust Until Forced To decides to pull the plug on _ones starting against Blake. We manage to slip by the Clippers (by a miracle and because they have no quality backup bigs), but then against the Warriors (the winner of which becomes a contender) we IMPLODE! Because we had _ones playing major rotation minutes. We will never be contenders as long as _ones is one of the 3 primary bigs in our rotation. The only way we can contend with _ones on the roster is if he becomes the 10th-15th best player on the team. And frankly, we don't have the time or roster spot to make that happen. We can find better 9-12th men than Terrence. So, get over yourself. You are butthurt because you are wrong about Terrence and have been wrong about Terrence for 2 seasons now.
BBHolic is over the top and has weird agendas. But TJones IS the one player for us that could have been the Xfactor and he just wasn't. For the Rockets to be perennial contenders we need players like him to hit, and he just hasn't hit consistently enough. The Warriors got guys like Draymond to hit, and hit big. I think Morey knows this too and will be looking to move TJones. Jones is not a part of the Rockets' long term future, and I think we all know this - right?
Not really. Barely lost the first two games. Got blown out game 3. Won game 4. ****ed up in the 4th quarter of game 5 but that series easily could've ended 4-1 Houston.
BBholic's agenda: The Rockets winning championships. (Weird ) No we all don't. There's still many of us that think Terrence "could really become a great player", "is fine as a starting PF for us", "could become an All-Star", "is an ideal backup/6th man for us" and all sorts of other r****ded stuff.
The reason why many believed that we were a championship team this year compared to last year is Harden improved majorly over the summer, DMo improved, We saw what Howard was capable of, Ariza had a terrific season last year and that was something to look forward to, mid-season we improved our bench tenfold from last years, and we had promising young guys. If you think that's a dumb reason to see an improvement over a guy who shot 10 bricks per game, a crappy Point Gurd, and a Center who bricked every lay-up, then I think you may be going crazy.
Never said that. At the beginning of this season there weren't 10% of us that thought this team would win a championship. Once we got into the season and we seen how improved DMo was THEN we started hoping and more of us started drifting towards the "we can win a championship" mentality. After we acquired Smith and endured his sporadic play and after he benched him self and when our backup unit started popping with him in the middle...then even more of us (including me) drifted towards "we could win a championship" mentality. Although I still felt like the hole was obvious at point guard. But at least with Dwight, Dmo, Smith as our rotation bigs I felt we had a chance. Once DMo went down....I knew it would be a miracle bigger than 95 for us to win a championship even after we garnered the second seed. And frankly, I quit believing that this team was a championship capable team when I saw Coach Keeps Going Back to _ones was going right back to _ones to start and play substantial rotation minutes. I was ok as long as _ones was the 4th big. But when it became obvious to me that McHale was going to keep _ones in the rotation either starting or being first big off the bench I knew we weren't going to go all the way. But the point is.....not until mid season did the changes that you described talk about and was it proven that DMo had indeed stepped up his game and was trustworthy in the rotation. None of us knew any of those things the first month of the season. BUT..............we should have known at the beginning of the season that if _ones were in the starting lineup or even the 3rd big in the big rotation that he was going to severely underperform in the playoffs. We should have known that was going to happen.
Who cares? How many games did Joey Dorsey "miss"? Jones is the 3rd best PF on the roster, why do we spend so much time talking about him?
