Valbuena is a great utility, plays 2b/3b, he is not a full time starter. We need Lowrie to play 3b and Correa SS. Villar and Marwin, well, they are the kind of players that when you see them in few games they look great, if you see them in a lot of games you remember they suck
And the starting pitching is doing a very credible job. Right now i would love to have Wandy Rodriguez in our rotation
Guys, i tihnk is time to move Tucker from the third spot in the lineup. Batting third i believe he is hitting under .200 so is time to move him to 6th. We really need to Correa to correct this lineup: 1. Altuve 2b 2. Correa ss 3. Springer rf 4. Gattis DH 5. Carter 1b 6. Tucker lf 7. Castro C 8. Valbuena 3b 9. Marinisek CF
If you want to split the righties, then Tucker 5th and CArter 6th. Also, Marinisek 8th and Valbuena 9 would split the lefties and righties
I just don't see them calling Correa up till the end of June. Lunhow has been adamant that he wants Correa to master AAA pitching first. I think this is what we've got and hopefully we can turn around. But we are 4-5 over last 9 and Rangers are winning almost every day. They called up Gallo, maybe we'll call up Correa.
Correa should and will be up sooner than that. Luhnow has never said he wanted him to "master" anything... nor would that really have much of an impact on how he would eventually adjust to the majors. Super 2 deadline issues should be safe after June 15th.
Correa should and will be up sooner than that. Luhnow has never said he wanted him to "master" anything... nor would that really have much of an impact on how he would eventually adjust to the majors. As it is, his defense has remained spectacular and his K rate has been acceptable... He hasn't had a hot streak at AAA yet, but those are arbitrary. Super 2 deadline issues should be safe after June 15th. They're simply waiting on that right now. Desperately waiting.
it's just bad pitches by the back end of the rotation along with tremendous hitting from the jays. give em some f'ing credit. =)
agreed, it is oddly impressive These guys can also be entertaining if you're busy during the game and unable to follow / then come back later and read through. Less emotion since it was in the past (and the game isn't messing with you on the side) haha
Hernandez sucks, has sucked for years, and needs to be released. Oberholtzer on the other hand has been solid in his career so far. I am more than wiling to just accept that this was a bad outing against a really good offense. Combine that with our offense going into one of it's slumps. Some losses are gonna happen.
It's getting hard to read these game threads when half the posts are being ignored. I guess casuals are the by product success, but I don't have to like it.
Yea Obie is fine, he is a back of the rotation guy and is plenty good for that. He has had a rough start to the year injury wise, but he isn't a problem We need to get a front to mid rotation type to replace Hernandez and will be fine
