I really don't think he has a pure million in his bank account, let alone multiple. He has expenses, bought a car at least in Lithuania, after taxes and everything he totally isn't a multi-millionaire on his current 20th pick rookie contract.
Having spent some of my life around famous people, you'd be amazed at how often this happens. People buy them drinks and dinner, and send them free stuff ALL the time. Years ago when '50s singer Dean Martin (at least I think it was him) was first getting famous, Frank Sinatra took him on a road trip across the country. Wherever they went, people bought them stuff -- food, drinks, paid for their hotel rooms, etc. Anything they had to pay for, Sinatra wrote personal checks to cover. Martin asked him why he was writing checks when they had plenty of cash and Sinatra said, "Because they keep them as souvenirs and never cash them."
For the people asking why buy a millionaire/famous person drinks: You have to keep in mind that people have a natural tendency to turn into leaches around people who have achieved some level of celebrity. By paying their tab, you are effectively stating that you are not THAT guy..... at least for the moment. Also, it is a tremendous sign of respect.
