I have been there approximately 10 times for a total of 5-6 months. I certainly wasn't a tourist and have been a number of areas with either poor sanitation or hygiene and had no real issue with it.

China is different. I do not have a problem with the Chinese people. I have a real issue with the Chinese government and the cadre of elite that honestly don't give a damn about the people of China. It is disappointing seeing so many people that are hard working, and essentially fending for themselves.

So, you can disregard my opinion, that is fine but China sucks in large part because of their government and a complete lack of care for the Chinese people.

So, they are trying to find our spies? People to target for their double agent efforts by having their saucy female spies engage them like in The Americans.

The Russians would take those social security numbers and steal their identity to sale on the black market. They want the money now vs building a spy network.

How old are you? Have you seen China in the 70s? I am almost 100% sure that the Chinese government have done more for the Chinese people in the last 30 years than almost any other country in the world. Can you imagine bringing the Africa continent to where China is today in 30 years?

Chinese leaders are corrupt, but they have accomplished far more than the democratically elected leaders in this country. History and perspectives.

You seem to bring up the sanitation and hygiene quite a bit when the subject of China comes up.
I agree with you that the CCP government has tons of problems. I can even agree with you that China is too polluted and sanitation and hygiene aren't good when compared to a first world country. I will never deny that China has some huge problems. That it is pretty close to everything sucking just sounds like they type of statement that you hear from tourists who are upset that the food was weird.

I don't know where you've been to in China but if you're mainly caught up in about how crappy the government, the toilets and the air is you're going to miss that there is a lot of amazing beautiful places, the incredible culture, history and different types of foods.

When I was there this past January I hiked up through snow and fog to the top of E-Mei Mountain in Sichuan province. Yes the tourist facilities were crowded and smelly but when I got up above the clouds and looked at the giant golden Stupa with sunlight glittering off the gold finish and the hoar frost it was one of the most amazing sights that I had ever seen. China is full of places like that.

The lack of sanitation and pollution is an issue, a very serious problem and some of that is the governments fault.

There are some very beautiful parts of China, but in my experience it is in the more rural areas with less obvious government control and less population issues. However the larger over populated areas, and manufacturing areas are horrible. I feel for the people living in those areas, many of them as only useful to the extent that they can be exploited. Is that entirely unique to China? No but it is to a scale I haven't seen anywhere else other than possibly India.

I also found China to be two vastly different places, very much rural versus industrial.

It's not just US & PRC, every country is spying and hacking the other countries. Even allied nations are hacking and spying on each other. Hacking is just a natural progression in espionage. Israel is famous for constantly spying and trying to steal US military secrets. The Germans, French etc accuse the US of spying and hacking. Just a while back, there was an article from Der Spiegel that claimed the German intelligence agency was helping NSA spy and hack the French, but at the same time the US was also hacking & spying on the Germans.

Uh, I'm quite sure they have all your sensitive info years before there was a left and a right. Don't worry, if they don't, you can trust the all mighty private sector to protect your info and privacy.

Hummm.. What if both sectors work together to increase cyber security.

Or you could go fk you governm and the world and go live in a cave.
