I mean yeah, Harden drives the offense... but to act like they don't have an offensive philosophy or that they just pass the ball to Harden and let him do whatever is silly.

I think you're right. And at similar prices, I would too. I wouldn't mind keeping Beverly as a backup because I wouldn't have any problem starting him in a pinch. But he will likely get priced out of that role and his defense is too overrated for the payday he'll get.

Yes thank you. We need another cut throat player that has star talent as well... this guy is one of them. Double Harden the Lawson will kill you off the dribble.

In crunch time when the pressure is on in the playoffs and games are close this is what they do for entire quarters. I see what your saying though I know Mchale isn't a idiot but in the crucial moments of the game I see no motion type, Princeton or triangle offense... I mean I see one on one basketball with no offensive structure that even looks as of they are set up to run in an emergency type spot. It's Harden one on one. I see little to no movement of players that don't have the ball I see guys standing around... the most constant play you see is pick and roll with this team. Outside of that they may run another play here or there but no real identity offensively that says WOW we playing smart 5 on 5 basketball.

    Wait a bit guys.

    1. He denied the rumors yesterday: http://piratasdelbasket.net/llull-el-interes-de-houston-quiero-quedarme-en-el-real-madrid/ LLULL: "HOUSTON INTEREST? I WANT TO STAY IN THE REAL MADRID "
"I'm very flattered that speak well of me, but I'm happy in Madrid and I have a contract for many years. Now what I think is in Sunday's game and be in the final. "

    2. He is primarily a SG, not a PG. He's basically a Harden backup, such as KPap, but with more energy and experience. I'm not sure how he will fare as PG, like in the Lin position.

Well, they don't run a motion offense or the Princeton offense or the Triangle. Neither do the Warriors, Cavs, Clippers, etc.

And they do run plays but you probably just don't notice.

We really need to go after Ty Lawson with everything we can muster. Harden really does need help.

    1. Real Madrid is currently in the playoffs in the ACB. I would expect someone in that position to downplay a rumor about him leaving after the season.

    2. He's a combo guard. Not sure why you bring up Kostas, since he's a SF who plays spot minutes at PF.

I rather take the insiders info than what Llull says to the Madrid press, when they even haven't done playing yet. Once the championship ends lets see what he says again.

If anyone wants to know more about the Liga Endesa playoffs (top Spanish tier), here is the website.

Real Madrid will play Valencia in the Semifinals (best of 5 series starting Sunday) and can face the winner of FC Barcelona-Unicaja in the Finals.

Game 3 is on the 9th and game 5 is on the 13th, so that should give us an idea of how soon we can expect an update regarding Llull. In other words, it will be a while before we get any substantial information.

They gave it up a few weeks into the season at Lebron's request. They have been more P&R and ISO heavy ever since

They run it when Bron is on the bench. It is fun, lots of motion and off ball screens.

I haven't watched a ton of Llull, but he looks more like a PG to me than a SG when he played.

They might run a set based on the Princeton offense... but they don't run the full-blown Princeton offense.

But even still, the point is that the Rockets do run an offense, but many people might not realize when they run plays because there may not be as much off ball movement as other teams use.

Sometimes people may not even have any idea a specific series of events was planned... take the "pistol action" for example. The main action of the pistol set is passing the ball to the wing and sprinting past for a handoff. The players have to read the play. Here is the best example I found with the Blazers running it:

    <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/mRLwqP2GeUs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Here is a short clip of the Rockets running it:

    <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/aPMzAIsRlFk?list=PLXWsHGeAyQD7A5Vk8zLEA-j3oLlJ-4OYH" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Most people don't even realize that it is a designed play.

Ahhhhh makes sense, I should have realized while watching that they could not maintain an ISO centric offense w/o LBJ holding the reigns...I'll be on the look out for it in game 2

Salivating at the mere thought of a 3-guard rotation of Lowry/Harden/Llull. That would be so choice!

80% eh? What information is pushing you to believe Bev is 80% gone?

Keep in mind he is an RFA. Are you saying that some team is going to offer Bev an outrageous contract the Rockets will not match? If so, what type of contract do you believe he will be offered that will make the Rockets not want to match it?
