If the rockets were healthy, then we would have a better chance to go to the finals. When both Barkley and Smith picked up Cavs to win it, a chance for them to win is going to be low. They should win the game last night, but they did not, Lebron are ready to cry, good luck.

A fully healthy Cavs team would beat the Warriors.

And the Cavs should have won yesterday. Lebron blew it. No excuse for that ridiculously poor game with his shot selection.

There is an excuse. He has only one other above average offensive player on his team... Kyrie.

JR Smith goes from amazing to horrible. Last night was horrible version. Everyone else tries, but aren't good enough offensively.

Then the Warriors are, you know, GREAT DEFENSIVELY.

I mean at the end of the day, it IS an excuse, so take it for what it is, but it is a valid excuse.

See Rockets vs. Warriors... same exact story.

The Kevin Love injury really hurt the Cavs. The Kyrie injury will kill them. Even before the Love injury though, it's clear Lebron and the Cavs needed to do more throughout the season to make the Love-Irving-Lebron trio work better offensively.

If Warriors came to play in the first quarter and didn't play catch-up, even a full healthy Cavs team won't make it close... I don't know why GSW didn't go small as soon as 3rd quarter. Their bench is a lot deeper than the Cavs and is capable of maintaining the speed. I'm guessing that Warriors will employ this strategy a lot earlier than G1.

Lebron James Annihalated their post defense...He should do it every time till they dare double him. The Warriors would love if Lebron was just jacking up shots 24-7...but the key to beating the Warriors has always been in the post. There was a stretch in the 4th that Lebron was just straight beasting on anyone...but then magically thought he was a great shooter and started chucking 3s in OT.

Also have someone else bring the ball and let Lebron establish deep post. Surely Matthew Delevadova or JR Smith can bring up the ball...

He went 4-14 against Iggy. I expect Iggy to cover LeBron earlier.

Takes the Warriors a while to figure out, but he is their best defender. Hence him guarding Harden game 5.

Maybe the Warriors are healthy because they don't play a lot of minutes so have less wear and tear...? (i.e., not all luck)

lebron blew it..riiiight..im sure his back is aching from carrying the load of not only his part but for about 3 other players coming off the non existent bench.

There's no should of in the playoffs. it's either you win or you dont. interesting nobody mentioned GS being down 14 in this game and still came back to win in the end.

doesn't matter. in the end that cavs team does not have enough support for lebron to beat this GS team.

LeBron annihilated them then got tired of annihilating and then his efficiency went down finally at the end. This is what the Rockets did to him as well back in the spring.

IF kyrie is out for the rest of the playoffs as it looks like then it will be a sweep.

Yes, GS should start Iggy at game 2.

doubt it. a starting lineup change won't be an adjustment for GS, especially after they won

I guess you don't count 2007 as recent history.

If the Rockets could hit their FTs, then they would be the ones playing in the finals. It's too much to overcome by not only having to beat the other team but also overcome your own lousy FT %. I will never agree to just accept our FT % is what it is. It costs you in the playoffs. End of story. The way those guys were stroking FTs last night puts the Rockets to shame.

Exactly the opposite of "Jordan Rules". If Smith can't produce something like the previous series, then this is all over. GSW won't have to shut LBJ completely. They just have to make him work very hard. Even MJ, arguably the best player in the NBA got his Pippen, Kukoc and Rodman. Hakeem got Drexler, Thorpe, Maxwell, Cassell, etc..

Take out Dwight and you've got a pretty decent % for the whole playoffs.

If Kyrie's out, the series is over. With him, the Cav's had a puncher's chance. Game 1 reminded me so much of the Rockets/Warriors game 1.

Lebron is in the same position on the Cav's that Harden was on the Rockets this year. He has to do so much to make that team work. It's got to be exhausting and promotes late game mistakes. Hopefully next year we're going to have a more balanced offense.
