Depends on if FT felt a sincere apology + $50 GC would be suitable for the pain and suffering that happened.

Some people would be okay with that, and some people not so much.

No apology was offered. I think I felt more concern for the kid that served me than both managers combined dent concern for the situation. That being said, it was not my idea to filed the report or contact corporate office. I don't know what their policies are, but so far, everything has been initiated by cinemark.

I'm telling ya. the movie theater industry is going down hill

I went to palladium a couple weeks ago to the the new avengers movie.

the guy at the concession stand gave free food and drink to the guys in front, AND behind me!! I'm assuming it's because I was a vanilla face that I didn't get anything.

then, my seat stopped working 5 minutes into the movie.

my buddy bought my ticket the day before on his credit card and I took him out to dinner that night, so we were even. unfortunately the manager couldn't give me credit towards another movie and refunded it through my buddy's credit card (i get it, I'm just pissed), so I ended up paying like $45 bucks for the whole movie experience and it sucked.

Some places need regulation, like the movie theater industry. lol, will not be returning there which is a shame because everyone seems to like that place.

Damn, that's weird. I imagine it's just some mid level employee trying to handle the matter by getting you to say it's not an issue. Once the real decision /difference maker gets on the phone with you, I'm sure you'll be taken care of!

Weird. I've only been there once for 23 Jump Street and had the opposite experience.

We had those seats on the balcony where you can order food and they'll deliver it to you. We got there 15 minutes before the start time and when we pressed the button to get some service no one showed up. So after 10 minutes I got up and walked to the concession stand to place an order and while doing so told them that the button didn't work. They apologized and comped my whole meal - which was food and drinks for myself and my wife, so it came out to like $35. I was very pleasantly surprised. They didn't have to do that.

With that said, yeah, I haven't been back there yet. Too far for me.

    1) One time as a sample size is not enough to judge an entire theater. Granted, going to the movies is expensive, so I can understand if people didn't want to go back after one experience.

    2) The concessions worker has nothing to do with the theater, but more to do with the worker. Maybe the people in front of you and behind you happened to be his friends / pretty people / both.

    3) What do you mean your seat stopped working?

Probably one of the D-Box seats. Where it moves to the movie "4D" experience.

No call backs so far. The company handling this is broadspire. I've called to see if there is and info but I go straight to voice mail.

....looks like they're prepping for a lawsuit. More concerned about corporate diligence than customer relations.

While I waited for a call back, I spoke to some personal injury attorneys, and since there was no injuries that required hospitalization or treatment, they advised to basically take anything they offered. Cinemark called and offered $150 which I accepted.

More than fair on their part.....but their customer relations would have been increased tenfold if they'd offered half that immediately as a goodwill gesture.

I agree. They dragged their feet and the managers at cinemark claims I refused ice as a treatment. Regardless, I'm glad to put it behind me.

the people in front of me may have been, but the person behind me was my friend, and I guarantee that they did not know each other.

and concerning my seat, at palladium it's one of those 4D places where your seat moves along with the movie. they even have a little button where you can increase/decrease the intensity of the movement. mine went dead 5 minutes into it.

I understand it was probably a series of stupid events that just transpired on me that time, but it is what it is. It's in BFE too, so respectivley one time is enough for this guy.

no clearly I'm the minority on this. all my buddies freakin love the place. I'm just struggling for movie places lately, lol. They tore down Tinseltown, rightfully so. AMC 30 is AMC 30, the Marqee has clearly gone down over the last decade. Studio Movie grill, from what I understand, has food that doesn't pass inspection so I'm no longer about that life. Rave is cool, but it's just as far for me as Palladium.

FYI ice is not first aid for burns. Putting ice on a burn makes it worse.
