Man why do we need to run ball movement and plays? Cavs doing just fine dumping it to their star and letting him work.
Because you can double James. You can't double LeBron because he can pass out of it. Harden is a little shorter and his teammates aren't exactly lights out shooters. Also Dwight and Jones don't cut like TT and Mozgod do.
I love the way Cleveland plays. This is like watching 90s basketball. Give it to their top guy and watch him wreck. I hope Harden is watching this seeing how devastating a strong post game can be.
harden just can't do what lebron is doing right now. not a knock on harden. lebron is just a rare combination of size, athelticism, and skill.
I really enjoy watching Mozgod play. Man the Cavs salary next year is going to be astronomically high above the luxury tax cap when they bring everyone back. But they have to do it.
Its not easy to double post players. Especially if that guy is a great passer. Harden normally gets doubled on pick n rolls or isos. Hopefully he posts up more next season.
With the cap increase, it's just not that onerous for them to match, no matter how much money Green gets.
The max for Green really isn't that much. It's similar to what Chandler Parsons' max was I think. Chump change, and easy easy decision.
Don't sweat it. They'll match Green. But they'll lose Barbosa and may have to decline the option on Speights. Then next summer, Barnes will be looking for a big extension. Even if they pay him, they'll have trouble keeping Ezeli. Then the following year, Curry, Bogut, Iggy, and Livingston are all free agents. This is gonna be the deepest Warriors team we ever see. They can't afford to keep this entire group together.
Lebron has really learned from his previous finals appearancess. Been impressed. Unlike LAST YEAR WHERE HE WAS GIVEN DOUBLE COVER AND STILL KEPT PASSING SHOTS OFF, HE HAS TAKEN IT THIS YEAR. That was my massive critisicm of him last year...was more concerned of effiency rather than winning.
Harden actually did exactly what Lebron is doing right now in Games 1 and 2. Obviously Lebron > Harden, but just sayin'...
