There is a reason we have not seen any significant development in Lin's game through four seasons now. He is not interested in improving as a basketball player. The rockets have had a great number of fans before lin and after lin. But you aren't a rockets fan so they acquired zero new fans. The fundamental problem is he is not very good and your fan base believes it's not his fault.
